All that the Clippers are going to have left are DeAndre Jordan, Sam, and Austin Rivers. They really should re-flip Beverley and Williams, trade DJ, s&t Blake, and start over. Houston's 2018 pick and their own is a weak launch point.

Houston is going to make the playoffs with Harden and Paul, and they have D'Antoni, but I don't see how those two players are going to mesh. If their ego isn't too big, which it is, one ideally would be a 6th man, with the other running the show most of the time. I don't think this is good for either of their legacies because they will play with an All-NBA'er, but not compete with other teams who have a similar dynamic.

beverly, yes. absolutely.

I get not wanting him on a max deal, but how would the best rim-runner and rebounder in the NBA not help the 26th ranked rebounding team?

theres a reason our rebounding sucks and its nothing to do with the players themselves (although they may not be helping).

our defensive scheme is to blame for poor rebounding numbers.

Gotta believe he's gone.

I'd probably do Monroe, Hawes, Vaughn, Delly + Future 1st for Jordan and Beverley.

That's not near getting it done, Marvin. You gotta give up something to get something. They're at least going to want Thon/Brogdon in the deal, maybe both. I think it takes two significant prospects and a future pick for Beverley and Jordan. It would make more sense to do Thon + Monroe + future first for Jordan as the foundation of a simpler deal. Keep Brogdon as your Beverley if you can't stomach giving up both. I know many have trouble stomaching giving up one, but like I said you gotta give up something to get something, and Thon seems like the strategic choice with a center coming back.

Trading for a 29-year-old center who can't be on the court in crunch time and who can opt out next summer is a bad idea you guys

Does Houston have enough pieces left to turn Anderson/Ariza/Capela/Gordon into Paul George and a PF?

PG: Paul
SG: Harden
SF: George
PF: X
C: Hartenstein/Harrel/Chino whoever

Houston is going to be insanely fun to watch imo. I think the fit concerns are a bit overblown, there will be some weirdness early on but I'm super excited to watch Harden become a supercharged version of what he was in OKC.

I mean, give them Brogdon then, his value is probably higher right now than it will ever be again. I'm fine keeping Delly and rolling with a Beverley/Delly PG rotation.

Wonder if returning "home" to OKC is an option? Not sure anyone would pair well with Westbrook, but that could be interesting. Then Blake could be "PG" when Westbrook sits.

I'd dangle Jabari, Monroe, and a future 1st for Beverly + Jordan.

So many years there's all this talk of stuff happening and it rarely does. this year it looks almost assured you'll have CP3, Griffin, Paul George, and Aldridge all switching teams. Maybe Deandre Jordan, Hayward, Millsap, Love.

Really though if somehow we can get Jordan/Beverly without giving up any contributing pieces beyond Monroe the Bucks should be 3rd seed at worst and it would be hell of a fun season. Going to cost future picks though.

Some kind of LMA and Blake swap could make sense as well. But I'd put my money on Blake to Boston somehow.

I don't see a Paul/Harden combo working out all that well
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Biggest thing I'm surprised at is that Paul didn't pick SAS instead and find a way to make a similar trade work. Who knows, maybe they tried and they couldn't find the right pieces. But something like Danny Green, Murray, and a first is a comparable offer isn't it and should work the sameway financially? Plus could use LMA somehow to get another piece. Or could just do LMA and picks for Paul. SAS would be his best fit and chance to win.

The first think I thought of when I saw what LAC was getting. They clear salary with Monroe next year, Jabari can't play and makes them worse but could also hopefully be great when he comes back, and the future first could be a nice future option - maybe lottery/top 10-protected?

Thon + Delly beats that offer pretty easily imo. We wouldn't win the east - but we would probably have the best Bucks team since the 80's

I don't think that deal actually beats the Rockets offer.

But I'd offer Brodgon/Parker/Delly/Hawes for CP3 - that definitely beats that offer.

I think Thon is more valuable than one year of Beverly, Decker and a pick in the late 20's. Either way, I'm sure our crack management team fully explored this option.

Thon is more valuable that trio, but they're not getting a lot of cap space in that trade because of Delly's deal.
