Melo and D'Antoni worked great before.

Yes, but when another ball dominant player joined (Lin) it fell apart quickly. Now double that.

Call me crazy but I think we could have a deal for him by midnight on Saturday. I know Philly will be competition but they will likely pursue Lowry, Iggy before Redick.

They'll try their hardest to get rid of Anderson now and try and sign PG13 next summer.

Apologies, I meant my previous post as a joke.

No, you're not crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if Reddick already has his mind made. Him practicing with Lin combined with his condo here and our reported interest... You just know Lin is recruiting him too. This could definitely be a Lin type signing, where you wake up to the news on July 1st.

I'm not so sure... Blake seemed to have issues with CP3 at times, he's also extremely injury prone so it might be in his best financial interests to take the max and stay put.

He's also proven he's not dependent on Paul to get his shots, he's under-the-radar improved greatly since he first entered the league.

Melo and D'Antonio reuniting seems an odd mix considering how the last time ended.

Dinwiddie, Archie, Acy and Skil are non guaranteed but they don't help bridge the amount necessary to make salaries match.

We would have to offer Nicholson, Hamilton in a package deal.

Maybe Melo in a mission to screw D'Antoni one more time? ;-)
Seriously though, the best role for Melo moving forward is to be the role he played in Olympic team, somewhat a stretch 4...

I really don't think D'Antonio will want Melo on his team again. He pretty much blame Melo for him quiting in New York more than once to the media already. And hinting Melo was jealous of Lin etc...( Most recently just a month or so ago) I say too much bad blood between them unless the owner or GM of the Rockets Daryl Morey force this deal on him. It will be really awkward. :)

It will be really funny and epic if after the Rockets traded for Melo, and then the Nets trade Lin back to the Rockets to backup Chris Paul. Daryl Morey, D'Antonio, Harden, Melo and Lin all in the same team again reunited. Rockets fans Lin haters and Lin fans all jumping off the bridge together. :D
