Really? What makes you think the Clips are just going to give away Jordan and Beverly for our trash?

I mean, a lot of cap space. I'm pretty sure they're not bringing in Beverley for the future.

They were trying to pry the 4th pick in the draft from Phoenix for DJ. My guess is that they are not going to take on Delly's contract in that swap unless they get a worthwhile piece. Plus, they could get a lot more for Beverly than a pile of our crap.

I don't see any issues playing both Paul and Harden together, especially when Harden and Paul both wanted to play together in Houston. If anything, Harden's efficiency will drastically improve. As for trading for DJ, I just don't see him moving the needle enough next season to trade away any valuable assets to acquire. Let's be patient and allow our young guys more time to develop before pushing the panic button and trading for a veteran big.

I agree. I mean this is still good for the NBA and as many of said if the Rockets can also land Paul George they will at least be fun to watch.....give them another year of adding vets at PF, Center, and bench spots to top it off and they may be able to knock of G.S.

Or if Lebron really wants to ring chase while beating the Warriors........

However, if he goes to the Spurs I think (barring injury) they have a great chance of winning it all. Don't forget they were killing them until Kawhi went down.

Having one player be your absolute everything is never a good thing. Houston lived by it, and they died by it. Adding Paul to relieve Harden of some of the burden can't be a bad thing.

Houston going all in like I said last week once Morey got his extension. Will Griffin stay or leave and force them to blow it up? It's going to be an entertaining next couple of weeks.

Agreed. This team needs to win 50-games for a couple seasons and make a couple second rounds of the playoffs. That lineup does it and then you take internal growth of Thon, Giannis, etc.

I actually think this increases the odds Griffin stays in LA. I think he signs the full 5 year max and they try to do a mini retool around him the next year or two. Maybe they deal Jordan but I don't think that's a certainty either.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I don't get the trade Jabari for a 1 year rental in a year we aren't winning anything crowd.

If this CP3 deal tells me anything, it tells me that if Lebron doesn't win a championship next year with CLE he is as good as gone, and the east is wide open once again.

By wide open - I mean BOS takes over the obvious top spot, but regardless of who they sign this off-season, they are beatable.

Don't forget - this isn't a championship team with LeBron in the east next year. Stay patient - watch Giannis / Thon / Brogdon / Mids develop next year, hope Jabari comes back to the level he was, do whatever you can to move Henson for something with 2 years left, and make your move next year. Please. Oh and don't pay Snell $15 mil a year

Paul is an enigma. He seems like he should be the kind of guy who makes those around him better, and maybe he does marginally, but CP-led teams have a dismal postseason record. The analytics guys say don't blame him...

Paul’s critics will more than likely hold these past six postseasons against him, saying that even if he’s the key reason the Clippers have been successful for this long, he should get more blame than anyone for the team’s failure to get past the second round. And it’s certainly fair to wonder whether point-guard led clubs — especially ones led by more traditional floor generals — are generally at a disadvantage and whether that has hindered the Clippers to some extent. But this club has had plenty of other weak spots.

But after years of Hornets and Clippers failures, how do you not? And what reasonable expectations should you have that this time the whole is going to be greater than the sum of the parts, when he's never managed to make it so?

What happened to the king deal maker I can call Bill Clinton right now Lasry? Shouldn't he be able to get a meeting with Paul?

Because next year we may have to purchase the Jabari timeshare for $80 to $100 million. I'm not sure I like the views at that place myself given the pricetag

I also don't think Jordan is a one-year rental.

I don't think he gets anywhere close to $24 million/per on the market, so he'll probably opt-in.

There will be time to worry, but does Giannis even hang out with anybody not on the Bucks?

I hope that's what a Jabari timeshare is worth when the time comes, because it will mean they've rehabbed the place into somewhere we want to stay for that special May or June getaway.

Thanasis and Kristaps are the two that come to mind and don't see those guys as a threat.
