I don't think Bogdan is better than Malachi but Divac wants his countryman to get paid.

send us Capela

Capela is their 3rd best player after Harden and Paul and is on a rookie deal. They would never include him. If they were willing to include him the Clippers would be demanding him.

Much more reasonable to ask for somebody like Harrell, but realistically it probably would be a straight up cash for player trade.

I know, I should have put the "wink" next to Capela

but yues, Harrell would have been nice but it seems the Rockets have bought other players and Harrell is going to the Clippers

Pretty good trade for the Clippers as they would have lost Paul for nothing next week. And I don't think they were wrong to not max a guy who at 37 will be getting 45m.

Suns - pay attention - don't over pay for Millsap

This is actually pretty solid return for CP3 who was leaving anyway. Harrell, Dekker, 1st and whatever they get for Beverley and Lou if they decide to move them before the season starts.

Naaaah, Bogdan is good. I'm not sure where he fits with the Kings, though. Rookie backup SG at $12M per year? Small forward?

He won't be better than other Bogdanovic in Wizards.

Yeah, he should be pretty good. I'm not going to discount his talent until I see him play in the league or just because we traded him.

Well, I'm from Turkey and Kings fans in Turkey are mad right now with that Bogdanovic deal. 3/36 seems too much when they already have Buddy Hield, Malachi and drafted Justin Jackson. Also he is not the best player in Europe at all. His team was perfect with coach Obradovic and his system. So we'll see.

I still love me some Bogdan. I loved him predraft and would have taken him with the pick they used on Enis and was stoked when they got him later. But I also loved me some Chriss predraft and that deal wouldn't have got done with out him in it so I was completely fine trading him.

It's a little steep for the Kings for an unproven guy but they have a ton of money to spend and he wasn't coming over for a small deal so good for them for getting it done.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

If Bogdan turns into a really good player - that's the chance you take. But the NBA has shown that if you have the right 2, 3 or 4 players plus a bench that understands their roles - you have a chance to be very good. Chriss has the upside - just need to see if it comes to fruition

And maybe in the end, the trade will work out for both teams

As for this week - this has been nuts with the trades. Love it. Wonder when Ryan McD is going to get in the water

I am comfortable with our current direction and am not a fan of blowing it up to short cut a rebuild. Take Kyrie if he's there for a low ball offer, but trading our pick next year and both Miami picks is way too much imo. In fact, I think I'd rather have our next year's pick straight up even if it falls into the mid lottery for age and cap reasons.

In my supposed trade I had us trading our 2019 pick. If we still sucked by then (with the current roster) we might as well rebuild on our rebuild.
Also I believe Irving is a very capable passer, and may have more assists if he didn't have Lebron on his squad. Also he has a better assist to turnover rate than Bledsoe/Curry/Lillard/IT/Westbrook/Harden/Dragic.

Our best players will still be 22 in 2019. I don't think our not contending at that point means anything. Also, the numbers don't lie. Irving has not been a capable passer going back to when Lebron was not there. It is a below average part of his game. His assist totals are really bad. A/T is not the only number to look at there. His assist % is particularly not good and is worse than Bledsoe's despite running a more structured and efficient offense. Harden's is damn near double his. Kyrie also has higher usage than both Bledsoe and Dragic. He gets the ball plenty despite Lebron being there.

I just love it. Who would want to add Kyrie Irving and Blake Griffin?! It's just crazy! Lmao.

I get wanting to build a youth movement but if any team can add a top 20 player without sacrificing a major part of that young core, they do it.

wish there was a way we could clear enough cap space to go after 2 maxes(Hayward, Griffin)

Knight/Chandler off the books might be enough

if you're gonna go all-in, go ALL-IN

The west top 5 is so stacked....

With Melo rumored to join the Rockets too... Wow.

Then you look at Wolves who upgraded a lot.
Then Blazers who will improve with Nurkic blending in some more.

Expecting the Spurs to reload too.

East has 2 teams.... Cavs and Celtics who are both trying to stack themselves.

don't tank
try to win
if not Blake Griffin - who according to Shelbourne is probably going back to the Clippers - figure out somebody who can make you better

tanking last year stunk - that was a better basketball team if they didn't trade PJ Tucker and quit

If not for his hurt toe, I would do my Aldridge for Dudley deal - he only has two years than let him walk; but in lieu of that Taj Gibson on a two year deal. Knight for Shumpert at worse - granted, if they get Dwade they don't need Knight

I think he stays in LA for two reasons
1) most money
2) Alpha player now - if healthy, ball goes through him and he can score 30ppg

IF Healthy

Again, I thought there was no incentive for him to stay with the Clippers, as in they cannot offer him anymore than other teams can in free agency? I could be wrong though.

They can if he wants to sign for 5 years. But he may want to only sign a 3 year deal with a PO for year 4. I believe at 3 years he hits 10 in the league and he can sign a new deal for 35% of the cap as opposed to the 30% he will get this off season.

Over three years the difference between the Clips and what other teams can offer him is negligible especially if you take into account the high income tax rate in CA.

What is weird about his situation is that he was drafted in 2009 so he should have 8 years of NBA experience and only be looking to sign a 2 + 1. But he sat out the first year in the NBA. Didn't play a game because he busted his knee cap. Does that year count? He won rookie of the year in 2010-2011.

Heck no to Aldridge...

Guy wants to leave Spurs... As second option.

On the Suns he'll take first option and turn everyone else watchers or he sooks.

I give Morey a ton of credit. He went from his biggest acquisition being Jeremy Lin, to Harden, to Howard, and now Paul.

Basically the method McDonough was trying to follow by getting a star....problem is, we just couldn't obtain one.
