Josh Jackson and Fox are on the board still at #4. Kings get desperate and offer #5 and #10 picks to move up and draft Fox. We now call Phil with Jackson still there and trade #5, #10, 2018 Miami pick and Bledsoe for KP, Noah and #8. Dennis Smith Jr or Isaac is still on the board at #8 and we get one of them.

Kings wouldn't trade up. They'd be just as happy with Josh Jackson as they'd be with Fox. Kings already turned down 5 and 10 for the #2 pick.

Who would you take if they're both gone? Say the C's take Jackson and we take Fox?

I'm sure the kings would of taken Tatum in that scenario. Glad it played out the way it did. Suns gotta be excited to get JJ.

Damn skippy! Congrats. I like Fox over Ball, I actually wanted Fox after we got the 4th pick, then I was talked out of it, then back into it, however, I can't remember who I wanted if JJ wasn't there before the draft.....I think it was Fox or Tatum. Most here (not all) didn't like him because he couldn't shoot....With you guys drafting him, Ball still has to see him 4 times a year and this board can see who was correct without anyone eating crow, because we all wanted JJ.

I hope he and my other guy from last year (Buddy) tears it up, as long as it isn't against us, unless we are in tank mode... can't wait to watch them and Ball.

This draft gave me more teams to watch; Orlando, Sacramento, and Dallas.

Fox and Buddy.......eeeeeewwew <handyman voice> "sounds like trouble."

Not all of us. I wanted to draft Fox and trade Bledsoe for a player and late lotto pick then select the best pick & roll finisher in the draft, John Collins. I think Collins will be the steal of the draft where he was selected (#19 by Atlanta.)

True. I had most. But edited the post.....forgot to put that back in there. I know we had 2-3 Fox guys. Didn't remember any Fox over JJ though. But most would be correct. I know you are not tripp'n but semantics on these boards are a serious issue. Most, not all.

I do believe a lot would have taken Fox with a Bledsoe trade, but I thought it was because we knew JJ would be off of the board? Most were down with that. I know We had some Isaac fans though. And Frank was a Collins lover at 4. Ginobli was all in for Isaac.

I think Frank wanted the other Collins from Gonzaga. Also, it didn't matter to me if JJ was on the board or not. I think there are a few potential red flags with him and I don't just mean his character. I'm more than willing to give him a chance to grow and improve as a Sun hough.

Yea. Frank wanted the Gonzaga dude. I thought the problem with Fox and JJ were pretty much their shooting otherwise, they are 1 and 3 in the draft.

What other concerns do you have with JJ? His shooting and character..I'm concerned with his shooting not character. I don't know him, but I know kids like him. I trust the Suns brass in that one, but what else.

my point was at four, all these guys are about equal. I preferred a Fox then bledsoe for pick trade. May be that was plan B if McD didn't get his top guy. I also think both Collins will be good.

From here, i have no idea where this roster goes. We've heard rumors of Bled being shopped, have had signings and invites of wings and PGs..while waiting to sign or resign some bigs. I really think McD is trying to reshape this line up but may come up short in his efforts. He has to be sniffing around for a trade or at least to piggyback on a bigger deal. This roster is still a sub 30 win one in my eyes.

1. Draft JJ
2. Trade Knight for an equal or less expensive contract at a different position
3. Keep bledsoe for the summer if no good offers come up
4. Dont blow our load on expensive old players
5. Sign Alan Williams
6. Let Len walk unless he can be retained on a Dudley-esque contract

Done. I'm OK with another year of the utes getting development time.
