Didn't someone here days ago say we plan on either trading or waiving Barbosa?

^It's unclear as of now. Maybe they waive him, or maybe they trade him so another team can waive him, probably get cash consideration.
Blake Griffin is out until December supposedly. We could sign him knowing this info, allow the young guys to play all year, and bring Griffin in slowly.

I'm not sure what date he needs to be waived by to avoid his guaranteed money, but we will probably wait as long as possible to use him in a possible trade as they have mentioned they would use their cap space to take on deals people don't want for assets. Someone may need to shed some salary to sign a free agent and we would absorb it for a pick or something.

No. Maybe a slight chance on Iggy but I doubt he would come here. The other guys, no way. They've pretty much said they won't.

Me too.

According to https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/teams/pho/salary/
Suns must waive Barbosa before 7/03/17 and only have $500,000 count on the cap. Full $4,000,000 if not waived by 7/3/17

Domestic violence issues, but regardless, I prefer our guys.

Re: Trade & Free Agency Ideas & Discussion 2
Not that we need him but Kings have made Ben McLemore a UFA. I thought maybe he would turn into maybe a Jason Richardson kind of player, but he has a weak mentality. Always seems to kill the Suns though when he plays us.
Crazy how he was suppose to be a top 3 pick, dropped to 7th (I think) and will already be a UFA. I guess Len is almost in the same boat, but I expect us to retain Len if he doesn't get an overwhelming offer from another team. I think McD would work some kind of angle to at least get some kind of assets back if we didn't want to keep Len though(via S&T).

Very interesting. I could definitely see us waiting until then to waive him as I mentioned before, we could easily trade him so another team can shed 4mil by giving us one of their contracts back.

Do you now what the best way to get rid of Chandler and Knight... Not **** acquiring them in the first place. I hope the suns keep this in mind before they do some dumb this this offseason.

Re: Trade & Free Agency Ideas & Discussion 2
Houston is going to go after Millsap, as is Denver. I think San Antonio, if they want to get rid of Aldridge, should just swap him for Millsap. They don't have the space to sign him outright, so this is a way to carve it out. Obviously it would be better if they could trade him for a pick and then just sign Millsap, but they could miss out if they hold out for that.
Millsap seems like the perfect complementary player next to Kawhi.

Signing Elijah late in the season last year was pretty weird. Suns must really like Paul.

Only have Booker to sign after two years. Three years then we have Chriss and Bender. Wouldn't be horrible for a three year deal.
