Just got home. I need to run some numbers. I am considering 2 drastically different routes with these next two picks.

Not sure if it's the right move..I guess time will tell. Tony Snell made my decision a little easier going with Bogut as he was one of the four I considered. Very curious to see what Snake does as he has a ton of ways he can go. Even though there are better exceptions available, I just couldn't see any other PGs worth having without using the exception and I really like the fit around Westbrook that I have, which I was originally planning for..we shall see..

I don't mind the Westbrook pick. In fully loaded drafts he detracts too much from other stars, but this is a different setting. That said, there is one other exemption point I probably would have gone for.

I agree with your first statement. I know who you are referring to about the other exemption, but did you see the crop of point guards left? Not appealing at all. No offense, but I don't trust Beno Udrih and that exception over Westbrook/Big Z imo.

Sorry bud, I was gunning for Westbrook from the beginning and I kind of had a feeling you or Snake would have taken him. If it does make you feel any better, you did take Bogut from me as I was planning on pairing him with Westbrook, but I guess Big Z is a nice consolation prize. Like I said in the previous posts, I was having second thoughts with Westbrook with another exception being available, but I couldn't pull the trigger after looking at the PG crop and stuck with my original plan. I'm glad nobody took Westbrook in Round 3/4 as it was a while before my turn after my second pick so that worked in my favor waiting.

Surprised that you or Snake still haven't used your exception yet with our picks not coming around for a while (30 or so picks)...

I am a big fan of saving exceptions until the bitter end. I won the first exception game by saving my exception until the last round. Considering following suit this game.

Passing on Shaq was one of the hardest decisions I've made in these games. It felt like I would be wasting Bogut who I had just selected. And there were only like 3 or 4 even mildly serviceable point guards left on the international board and about the same number of teams in need of a point guard. Sided with relative need over obvious BPA. I am regretting it.

And there goes Shaq who I was referring too with the exception who I was surprised still available. Going between Westbrook and Shaq was such a mindgame as both players could actually fit well with my other players (I didn't even think about Shaq originally until he kept on dropping and he fit surprisingly). I feel like I had a better chance with Westbrook/Big Z than Shaq/non-starter PG imo. The gap was just bigger with Big Z and non-starter PG than Shaq/Westbrook imo. Also I felt like Westbrook had a easier chance to succeed compared to Shaq in this setting.

This is good to hear. I did wonder beforehand if it would be more suited to a smaller group of managers rather than the usual 16.

I like when player pools get this shallow. Sometimes everyone having elite role players rounding out their bench gets old. I like the fact that crappy players are forced onto teams like in this game.
