Just saw that James Young is unresticted FA? How about him as Backup SG. Only Reed is not enough. I am for McLemore or Young and release Barbosa.

Reed is plenty IMO, especially since Jackson can play some 2 and knowing us, we'll probably see some Ulis/Bledsoe pairings too. And who knows if we'll keep Barbosa?

Three year deal is not bad at all IMO.

I've been pretty vocally against milsap but should note i really like him as a player. Hell he's on my dynasty team. My biggest issue is he will turn 33 mid season and historically guys have a tendency to fall off a cliff athletically in their mid 30s. To me its just too big of a risk with a limited reward. Not to mention he would hinder bender and chriss development and the suns would be in a much better position if either of those guys hit their ceiling than even the best case scenario with milsap.

Now say they could get him for 3 years and some how someway convince Atlanta to take back knight then sure do it. But i can't see why Atlanta does that.

I think he ends up in Minnesota or possibility Houston if Atlanta would take back gordon or Anderson.

Milsap - 35 minutes per game
Chriss - 15 minutes per game
Bender - 5 minutes per game
:banghead:
We are lucky Milsap won't sign 3 years deal.

But playing behind vetz is great for development of young guys.... just ask alex len he wouldn't be the force he is today without chandler. Lol. And it was just super for warrens development not playing because tucker and green got to play ahead of him. Really kick started his career.

Either Chriss or Bender can play alongside Millsap. We just need to get rid of Len and maybe even Chandler.

You know there is 0% chance of this happening right? Chriss' minutes will not go down because of Millsap. Chandlers will if we keep him and Chriss/Millsap with absorb C minutes. I also cant see them even playing Millsap that many minutes per game, I'm pretty sure Booker avg that and led the team.

Ironic you mention Chandler because wouldn't this milsap signing basically be the chandler signing 2.0?

All gms make mistakes but the dumb ones fail to learn from them.

Frankly I'd rather throw a max at otto porter and if the wiz didn't match then trade Warren.

I don't see Chandler and Millsap at the same level.

Haven't been here for awhile but I have 2 question:
1. Would you guys do a Knight for Rubio trade?
2. Does anyone know what the Suns are going to do with Len and maybe Chandler?

Are they really that different from an accomplishment standpoint? Neither have ever been All NBA. Milsap has a couple of extra All Star appearances but the Easter Conference was pretty weak. Chandler had a defensive player of the year under his belt and several all D teams. They would both be 32 at the time of signing.

Confused on Blake, don't know what to think. He's a stud when healthy. Can Jackson, Bender, Chriss play next to him?

Paul Millsap makes ZERO sense on the Suns imo.

We're 4 deep at each forward spot already

SF - Warren/Jackson
PF - Chriss/Bender

And that's just the young guys who need playing time...I'm not even including Dudley in that.

Millsap should really look to go to San Antonio or something.

Return to Phoenix Suns
