It's a mentality. He is a shoot first guard that will mostly defend point guards. Williams is a pass first guard that defends point guards. It's easy to say the difference, but it is a huge difference in game.

If Fultz runs your team you aren't going to win, just like if Irving ran the Cavs, of Lillard ran the Trailblazers.

Williams is past his prime, but he could have run a contender with the right mix of talent for sure. Fultz has the potential to be as good as Williams was, but in a different role.

35.5ast% for fultz vs 31%ast for Ball, fultz also has lower TO%. How fultz averaged almost 6apg is amazing. Second best scorer was crisp who shoots .411FG% on 13ppg.

He had a high assist rate because he had the ball in his hands so much. It's like how Westbrook or iverson some years had a high rate.

Right. Iverson was a great passer, but wasn't a facilitator in his blood. Many of his assists were last resort types of passes that he made when the defense collapsed on him. Westbrook is the same way.

A true point guard plays the game specifically to get the rest of the team the shots that are best for them. Simmons has this. Embiid will work it out with Simmons, and Simmons will give him the ball in the right spots and the right times, and the efficiency will explode.

Fultz is a guy who has the vision, passing and handle to play point guard, but he ultimately is looking out for himself to score. He can be trained to follow a game plan, but he is instictually a scorer.

I think you guys are underselling Fultz' PG instincts. He's definitely a scorer, but he's considerably less selfish with better vision than some of the names being thrown around here.

He's really a take what the defense gives him type of guy - shots and passes. Moreso than Irving or Lillard. He reminds me a little of Iguodala in that way (obviously very different skillsets but I thought Iggy was one of the mored balance score/pass guys in the league when he was at Philly).

The results speak for themselves. Fultz improved significantly in the past 2-3 years, so his work ethic is there. I'd bet on him improving more than a lot of the other guys in this draft.

It's impressive how several of the Sixers have improved over the last few years, good coaching. Imagine what they can do with Fultz, Simmons, and Embiid. If everyone stays healthy, the progress they'll make during the year could be legendary!

Take it with grain of salt.

Reading between the lines, Fultz wasn't THAT impressive on his first day. But totally understandable. Just has trauma after disappointing debut from Evan Turner back then

I think he has landed in a great spot. Perfect as far as expectations go.

I saw a comparison to Kobe Bryant on the Celtics board at one point, when he was assumed to go there.

That isn't the Sixers facility. Did Pompey get a special invite to watch Fultz work out?

That clip isn't the first day of sixers summer league camp, that's his own individual workout with his personal trainer a day or two before said sixers summer league camp.

With Embiid seemingly never leaving the practice facility and Fultz' work ethic, Simmons' as well (was on IG live at the facility until 230 AM), it seems like the team is in good hands.
