Any thoughts if we should chase him instead of Waiters?
Will he be a good fit at SG/PG as a duo for Dragic/TJ?

Rondo is flabby, indecent and a complete failure

I have no expectations of FA and outside of landing Blake for 25 or less, I don't see any real potential game changers. Would like to see this team come back with the same guys and try to prove they're no fluke but not a big deal if they don't come back. Draft is all I was waiting for and now on to SL and onward

For those who will be in feels if we don't pull out a red carpet, here's my quicksand Giraffe meme

First off, don't make me laugh by calling Fluff Griffin a game changer.Secondly, we are all on board with Hayward coming to Miami so I don't know why you are including him with the Conference Finals virgin.

Waiters has potential to be an all star caliber player and JJ is skilled on both ends of the floor. Griffin ain't gonna improve the team except maybe being the best bench warmer for the 20-30 games he is going to miss.

Fluff Griffin. Very unique.

Dion Waiters is what he is, an inefficient chucker. Let's discuss the amount of games Blake has missed, but pretend Waiters is reliable. I guess Waiters injuries and missed games are okay because he plays for us. Smh. Waiters has potential to be an all star while Blake IS currently an all star and has been his whole career. Let's just continue to foolishly believe that Dion Waiters will bring us more success than Blake can.

Waiters looked pretty reliable in the 2nd half of the season after coming back from injury. I don't see why he can't get better unless you are going to keep harping on his playing days in OKC and Cleveland?

Griffin is a better fit around a PG like Paul who can feed him easy lobs. That is all he is good for.

So that's it huh, you just haven't watched him play much.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Blake has all star caliber skills but I don't think we should invest in a player that's injury prone and hasn't played a full season in his NBA career. I just don't want another Mcbob situation where we are paying for a player that's going to be on the sidelines a lot.

Dion has played 70+ games in 3 of his first 5 seasons...

70 games in 2013-14
81 games in 2014-15
78 games in 2015-16

Yeah well one will cost 30 million while the other will be no more than half of that. Blake is absolutely a great player, but he is injury prone.

Here's a list: broken kneecap, meniscus tear, partially torn quadriceps, knee bone bruise, sprained knee, and strained hamstring. All of that on just his left leg.

Let's ignore how poorly misused they were on those teams and let's focus on how better they became once Spo found they right line up and system for them to excel. When the hell did Blake Griffin become Tim Duncan all of a sudden? Some of you people popping your loads over his showtime dunks.

The same can be said for Blake though? Who is to say that he wont blossom in our system? Not trying to be a contrarian to your case for JJ as I really like him but blake has been solid his whole career. hes dissapointed with injuries sure but you cant blame the clippers failing in the playoffs all on him. CP3 is another one that has never done squat in the post season. I would take Hayward first, Blake plan B and JJ/Dion plan C

Should health permit, there's no question in my mind Blake Griffin would absolutely wreck shop under Spo in Miami. But you cannot ignore his injury history.

You don't want a situation where he's basically a paper weight by year 3 of the contract like Amare was for the Knicks. It crippling to have a guy taking up 35% of you cap, and not having reliable availability. The most important ability is availability.

I love what Dion did last year. And he's a fun player that had some great moments and contributed to some good ball for us. But, the stats do not portray an emerging star in any sense whatsoever. His stats last season were nearly identical to those from his 2nd year in the NBA.

His advanced stats are actually lackluster and arguably the worst among our main contributors from last season.

Some on here fell in love with moments to much and are failing to understand the bigger picture.

Dion can be a helpful piece, and on a cheap contract he provides value. But, don't get it twisted, this is a star's league. We're not going anywhere without adding a star.

The organization has done an outstanding job of finding undervalued players and developing great role players. So, we have the surrounding pieces, we just need a centerpiece.

I agree completely I guess its a double edged sword. You would hope for a grant hill like situation where injuries seemingly robbed him of a career but he stayed healthy later on but thats a big chance to take I guess the heat trainers/scouts have to be on their top game to evaluate that but i dont think any front court in the league can handle a BG/Whiteside combo. Pair them with Mcgruder and winslow or tj/richardson and winslow and theres potential for a defensive lineup that would swallow teams whole.

On the local hour, he was basically saying that this FA class isn't worth pursuing and that Riley should go all out for next year's crop.
