I believe all of us that support the acquisition of Blake understand the concerns over Blake's health going forward.

That is why we have doctors on staff. If they do not give him a clean bill of health going forward, there is no deal. If they do give him a clean bill of health - just get it done.

Our medical staff was apparently in favor of giving Eric a new contract and reportedly they were also in support of offering Amare a 5 year deal. I think we have a very good all around medical staff but they aren't wizards. If they tell us no, then no, but if they tell us okay, it really doesn't mean much. His injury history already tells us a lot about his future IMO.

I seem to remember differently on that.

If we sign Blake and then trade for PG, you guys do realize the domino effect right?

1. Strips clubs in Arizona will post a record profit.
2. Less of us will get laid in Scottsdale as all the babes will flock to VIP to pop bottles with our newest Suns players.
3. Pregnancy rates at ASU will skyrocket.

Seriously though. I've lived in AZ and I've lived in Cali. ASU/Tempe has the hottest girls and they are everywhere! Scottsdale isn't far behind. Cali has hot girls but not like ASU and not like Scottsdale.

Blake and PG want the nice weather, the slutty chicks, and a max deal. Competing with GSW would just be the cherry on top.

If we just tank for the next 5 years, we'll have all the best players. But then Booker would not fit our timeline so we'd have to trade him.

The only surefire playoff teams in the West so far are the Warriors, Spurs, and Rockets. With Westbrook's competitive nature I assume the Thunder will be a low playoff team as well. Blazers killed it after the all-star break so they are likely making the playoffs too, but again, a low playoff team. The Western Conference will still be ultra competitive in the 2nd tier, but I can see a lot of teams fighting for the 4th-8th seed including: Grizzlies, Thunder, Blazers, Wolves, Pelicans, Nuggets, and maybe even the Jazz. If the Suns get Griffin we are definitely in the fight too.
Someone mentioned Griffin has been declining. I fail to see that. He's been averaging roughly the same statistics for the past 3 seasons. All of his injuries are strange occurrences in my opinion and because none of them are related to each other actually gives me relief.

Lastly, I hope the Celtics get Hayward. Two reasons all Suns fans should hope for this is one, Jazz no lose their 1-2 punch (Gobert/Hayward) making the West a little weaker, and two, our Miami pick holds more value.

One more thing I want to mention. I never believed Sarver meant what he said about us being patient and waiting to build by 2020. That's obviously just a marketing tactic to hopefully retain season ticket holders and to urge them to stay patient. He wants to win. A winning ball club makes more money and Sarver wants the cash.

Sorry guys, im a no go on PG13.

He has already stated he wants the Lakers. Teams like Cleveland and Boston can afford to take the risk on him as they are Finals contenders already, and think they have a good shot at retaining him due to that fact.

We have been nowhere near Final contenders, let alone Playoff contenders.

I just think if we did trade for him, he would walk next season and take his talents to Long Beach.

Thing is we are giving up an asset. We're giving up two assets.

1. We're giving up on Chriss or Bender's development as one of them will now definitely be in the dog house and get no playing time. Except for when Blake gets injured again of course. But they won't be able to get into a rhythm like that...

2. We're gonna have to give up one of the Miami picks or Warren to dump Knight and create cap room for Griffin.

Well, I won't swear by my memory, it lets me down more each year. But as I recall, our medical people were comfortable with offering him one less year than whatever was the maximum back then. Whatever it was, Amare went down about halfway into his next season so it was certainly well past that point.

That's not a great representation of Scottsdale.

I think we were ok if we could get insurance, which we couldn't, and NY was willing to risk it without insurance.

Hmm good point. While you cannot have the players run the team, I do think it's important to at least gauge the locker room's interest in Blake. I wonder if Dudley has god or bad input about him from his time on the Clippers.

Thats interesting since Hayward has been saying that the Jazz need to retain Hill.

Trading for Rubio seems to be the end of Hill in Utah, which in turn could help push Hayward to leave. If that happens, i think its time for a complete rebuild in Mormon Country!

My guess Ryan has gotten input from Dudley, Chandler, and Bledsoe
