Our picks aren't even good. We are a top 4 team out West for the forseeable future, it's GS, SA, HOU, and UT, then the rest.
Are you that sure about Hayward?MotownMadness wrote: Shooting is what everyone wants now or at least some sort of two way players.
Rubio is a two-way player though.
Not when defenses don't respect his shot in the slightest. Thibs ain't dumb and knows the limitations with him out there.

Unless they're getting him for free, Utah is making a mistake. If this is what they're doing to make the roster look better for Hayward well....

Re: Shams: Utah and Minnesota working on deal for Rubio
If MIN isn't taking any money back or just get Diaw, who they would waive, renounce Shabazz/Payne/Rush, they could offer Lowry up to 32mil/yr to start next year.
Lowry/Wiggins/Butler/KAT/Dieng
Jones, Bjelica, Aldrich on the bench
No doubt, the bench is a bit weak but damn if that's not a pretty dynamic starting lineup for Thibs.

If it's Hill or Rubio, I think Rubio is better. Hill will get paid about the same when it's all said and done.
Late first rounder to get the better player.

Looks pretty official...the Jazz just give up a 2018 1st rounder, which they had two of.

Toronto should be very afraid of what's coming from this. Lowry will be a Wolf bank on it.

Playmaking he is, but scoring Hill is way better. I'm not sure who's a better defender, I know that Rubio gets more steals, but Hill is a solid defender as well. Still Hill may get something like a 20M/year deal while Rubio is $14.5M and $14.8M the next two years.
I think he could be a slight upgrade, maybe not day1, but Rubio is 4 years younger.

They're gonna end up targeting Lowry or Hill or somebody and they'll sign somewhere else, leaving the Wolves with Tyus as their only guard. It's ridiculous. Rubio is the pass-first point guard they need in a system with three primary scorers.
Shooting is what everyone wants now or at least some sort of two way players.
They don't need more shooting atm. Rubio is the perfect fit for that team. He can distribute the ball so well to those three guys (Towns, Wiggins, Butler). They don't need a scoring point guard.
That's exactly wrong. Butler is a passable but not great 3 pt shooter. Same with Wiggins. They also don't have a credible stretch four. They really need shooting around their three core guys

He is a upgrade over Hill because he is more healthy. Hill didn't really prove anything other than Jazz needed upgrade at PG and he wasn't it if you cared about health.

You don't know what Hill will get paid. Rubio is younger and cost controlled plus the pick shouldn't be to high
Min has this year to use free agency to build around its core.

Loses a scorer, but gains a better passer who can set up players better on the offensive side of the floor and still a good defender. They had no clue if Hill was gonna stay or not, so they decided to move on from him instead of waiting for something they couldn't be sure of. And still, Hill's demand of sallary would be more than what Rubio gets, so it gives Utah a more comfortable position and goes younger.

Minny should take that pick and Dieng for Deandre Jordan.
Teague
Butler
Wiggins
KAT
Deandre Jordan
2nd best out west.

Cmon Thibss..lets atleast see how Ricky runs the show with this new squad. He's a maestro and unbelievable player imo even despite his struggles from 3

This x100. Wolves need the best shooting pg they can find.
