If we're going to make a dumb move for a new point guard, why not just trade Patton and the 2018 OKC pick to LA to get Beverley? At least in that scenario, we're underpaying Beverley instead of overpaying Teague.

I have sentimental ties to Rubio as that's the draft I came back to the NBA after not watching for a while after having to quit playing due to health.

C'mon over to the Jazz bandwagon! Honestly though, looks to me like this is an exciting moment in Wolves history. You will upgrade your PG with either Teague or Lowery, and with Butler, KAT, Wiggins - wow. That looks a dynasty in the making to me. I don't get why you basically gave Rubio away to us but thank you very much! Nonetheless, Wolves be howling come October.

We gave you Rubio for nothing because we needed the cap space for Teague.

If it's Teague the Wolves should have space for another nice player

What sucks is, a guy like Rubio, he struggled with us, grew with us, bleed for this team, took a reasonable deal, gave his all to make us better and now that we finally reach a point where we can be a playoff team, he gets the boot. I badly wanted to see Rubio break through that final barrier and be there when we arrived. Now that opportunity is gone.

Posts like these are really disheartening to me. The Wolves haven't made the playoffs in 13 years and you have fans ready to bail on the team b/c a couple of players they liked got traded? Very bizarre line of thought. I hope the Wolves do well, and I think they will be a force to be reckoned with from now on.

There's just no way...

You might as well pay Lowry 30 if your gonna give Teague 20

This is also how I felt. I was also excited to see him wear the new jersey and probably buy one of it. But it's not happening anymore. :(

I thought I saw Doogie thinking it was $58-60 over 3 years somewhere.....if that is true....that uses up most of our space....

We leak to the league were signing Teague so suitors back off....then negotiate with Lowry and if signs on the line with us, we let Teague go. If Lowry goes back to toronto...we have a fallback plan.

Teague was an all star two years ago. He is a very solid PG. With the way contracts are in the NBA now, hoe can you say this with a straight face?

Theres no way a PG of Teagues caliber is only getting 12m per. Hell, Patty Mills who has been a career backup will get more than that. Like come on.

 whoa my bad

I would be pretty disappointed if we gave him 20/per. I'll just leave this at that.

Marc Stein just reported Knicks are off of Teague because he thinks he has committed to Minnesota.

Teague was so great he was traded in favor of his backup Dennis Schroeder & that was after his all-star year. It's not like the Hawks were rebuilding, either.

There's only a handful of guys that I can't stand more than Teague, one of my favorite Wolves being replaced with one of my least favorite players to watch. **** :banghead: . I guess it'll be all worth it once we make the playoffs.

I was first upset that we were going after Teague after trading Rubio but Teague is good. Looking at his stats and some game film he looks like a better fit. Hopefully we follow up with some bench help and take off.

Will def miss Rubio though. Will always love him.

Thibs and layden are on crack if they traded Rubio just to sign teague.

I'd rather start Payne at pg.
