Re: Official Trade Thread -- Part XXXIII
I swear is we trade Otto for PG it would be the most mistake ever made!
Honestly make a final offer than does not include otto and tell them you have till 10pm accept or im moving on.
Honestly EG don't waste all this time . Go get someone else.

Ok, not sure how much more clear John can be about all this but let's wait and see what happens.

Well, one rumor down - Paul George just got traded to OKC for Oladipo and Sabonis (Note: not Arvydas).

Lmao what a lame excuse for an offer. It's sort of infuriating that Boston couldn't beat that terrible offer. Oladipo is...not very good. Sabonis has potential I guess.

It was the right offer for a rental. He leaves after one season. Does Westbrook join him in LA?

I bet the Pacers are selling it as Oladipo back to Indiana.

Re: Official Trade Thread -- Part XXXIII
I'm not entirely sure that Porter + a pick isn't better that Dipo and Sabonis. The latter two are good young pieces, but I think Porter's the best player of the three.
Given the timing of the Otto-related rumors, my guess is that EG floated the idea of Indiana to Porter/Falk, and Porter/Falk balked. At that point, EG shifted to the next option of loudly announcing our intent to re-up Porter.

Another day another terrible package traded for a superstar while we do nothing. Cool.

They could've and probably did but maybe Indiana/bird didn't want to trade arguably the 3rd best player in the east to another eastern team...
Same things the bulls probably thought with butler...
These guys are years younger than lebron and if they get a super team going with Boston or even Irving and love it can be ugly in the east for the next decade
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

Re: Official Trade Thread -- Part XXXIII
Why wouldn't Portland have made a better offer during the draft? They had 3 first rounders, plus Crabbe (who'd I'd rather have than Oladipo (at least he can shoot)).
That is a garbage offer for George. Oladipo stinks. He's overpaid.

Re: Official Trade Thread -- Part XXXIII
It's possible that the Boston rumors of 2 number ones and a starter for PG were false. Or number one draft picks in a weak draft are not all that valuable anymore but cap room is.

The East is becoming a minor league conference. What's the relationship between Wall-Porter going to be like I wonder.

Re: Official Trade Thread -- Part XXXIII
If Hayward doesn't go to Boston, Washington has no excuses. Taytum has massive bust/empty stats potential, and will either take away minutes from better players Crowder/Bradley or stay in the doghouse.

Wait wtf? Porter + a pick is light years beyond Dipo and Sabonis. Dipo is a known commodity. Bad, inefficient player. Sabonis has potential but Porter is an established All-Star level impact player at age 23.
We just can't trade Porter in a S&T unless he agrees to go to Indiana, and why would he agree?

So...we agree? You're just being more emphatic than I am.

Re: Official Trade Thread -- Part XXXIII
You think John Wall is going to blame Otto Porter for not acquiring Paul George?
Paul George who is going to LA next year.
Gee I wish we'd given up a huge amount for him, so that we could have him for a year. Wouldn't that have been great?
