This guy, who is vastly superior, is going to make over 5 years what Noah makes in one year

This is what a good FO looks like. Take notes.

Zaza also gave GS a bargain deal to play meaningful games.

As did David West. Other than GS, Cleveland, SA and now the Rockets, nobody is taking those type of deals. Those are called ring chasing discounts

That is no excuse for that Noah deal and I think you know it

There is no excuse for most of these deals. This is pure madness.

Retrospect is nice to have in your back pocket. The deal was ass due to one bad year, ONE.

That said considering 90% of the cap needs to be used (yes 4yrs was too much) who were we going to pay (center) then, this offseason and the next? Mind you unless you have a room filled with crystal balls no one knew how sevisable Willy was going to be.

Thus far due to his injury and if long term yes it was an ass deal. If Noah goes back 8-10pts and 9-10 boards while having a decent +/- on the defensive end then it's a market deal.

Lopez has one less year, and 5 mil less per year
Lopez also isn't completely useless at putting the ball into the basket
Lopez can also shoot free throws
Lopez is also an elite rim protector

What the hell did I just read?

A. You don't have to spend 90%. If you don't, you split the gap amongst remaining players.

B. I didn't need a crystal ball to know this deal was garbage. All I needed was the basketball reference page to look at games played and his stats.

C. There's a 7-3 guy who can fill in a lot of time at C and would actually be a mismatch in our favor

D. You had KOQ under contract

E. There were so many options for lower guys on shorter deals that we didn't even explore. See signature

Which is why numbers don't mean sh*t.

Stat geeks have ruined the NBA.
