I would be OK giving Millsap a $90M/3 years offer, but it is not gonna be enough because other teams are gonna really overpaid for him.

In a world where Holiday (a decent starting PG, not more not less) gets $126M / 5 years, Millsap is gonna get a BIG OFFER. I do not want to give him that.

I would be happy with our young core playing a lot, without more additions. We have enough talent to compete, let the young players start and fight.

Denver, Houston, Minnesota need him.

Phoenix doesn't, but McDonough might.

I'm still confused by the George to OKC deal. Isn't Russell+Mozgod better than Oladipo+Sabonis? Are people really that high on Dipo?

Denver are one of the few teams that don't have a bad contract to dump.

Phoenix - Knight
Houston - Anderson
Minnesota - Dieng

Probably need to go to make room.

Oladipo is a solid player, really good defensively.
Sabonis is a decent young player with three years under his rookie contract.

Not a bad trade, PG is an amazing player but he is gonna play for the Thunder only one season, so I think the value is fair.

What's interesting to me is that they will both be free agents at the end of the year so if they have chemistry they can go anywhere they like.

A million to one Magic made a mess in his shorts. Two guys with ties to LA free agents same year. He must be burning up the lines trying to get rid of Deng.

Completely agree fiend, George said hed resign in Cleveland, Boston or San Antonio. Both sign next year and LaVar Ball demands a trade on behalf of his son.

Crazy times.... the cost for these marginal players :o is jaw dropping. Owners almost have to bow down to the max deals, and they will.... then in 2-3 years be crying once again. NBA is out of control. As an old fan, they are close to losing me. The player collusion, the tanking, the one and done-ers, the massive salaries.....piled onto the ticket prices and vender raping at the arenas....

They have created a monster moving Sport into the Entertainment field. I am not sure if it really appeals to the younger fan, but they sure stand a good chance to lose all the old timers. I know of several once-lifer-suns fans that do not give a rats rear now. I am sure the past years of losing do not help, especially following perhaps the most exciting 5 the organization ever had....... Just a shame the fan-landscape has changed so much to where its hardly worth following.

This gives the Spurs about 8mil extra cap space between the differences of contracts between Aldridge/Knight. They could shoot for Millsap and maybe go after George Hill or whatever free agent PG. Popavich may be able to turn Knight's career around.

We only have to deal with LMA's contract for two seasons, and when it's over we can look at keeping him or letting him go depending on how well our youth is developing.

This is what I have been saying for a week now. I was willing to move Dudley for Aldridge to give the Spurs 10m of cap space . Aldridge is two years, a good bridge, Marc Stein said he wouldn't opt out. If it took the Miami pick to move Knight, for Aldridge, I do it in a heartbeat. TWo years, deal is done, bridge is crossed, re-sign younger guys. If he wants to stay for cheap, keep him . Dudley is also a San Antonio type player.

I know its best for the org but I'm still sad we will not have done anything.
We should focus this summer in moving knight if possible

Giving taj more than a 2 year deal would be worse than signing milsap.

My new saying is keep it clean for nineteen.

like the saying

and yes, I am not signing Taj Gibson for more than two years - - that guy is more of a bridge than Blake would be

Double that for a "Max Type Deal".

But if its a S&T and Knights the one leaving, i could deal with that.

Can we S&T trade say Len with Knight to get Millsap

I guess we just renounce Len for the 12m of cap space

Or would it be better to keep Len the shotblocker over Chandler the rebounder

I am already thinking the Suns want Millsap and will over YEAR, not over PAY, cash is cash - but will have too many yearss

I am not in love with Millsap for more than 3 years. If you tell me now, we move Knight and don't move Warren - so its something like Knight, Len and a future first. I am better with that. I like Warren and think as SF he is perfect next to a guy like Millsap. Not sure the Hawks, with Plumlee need Chandler or Len so they probably want Warren

Would it be better to somehow get Kevin Love - meaning, just absorb the contract, work a three way deal or something that overpay for an older paul Millsap in terms of years

In order
Aldridge for Dudley or even Aldridge/Green for Dudley, Knight and Miam 1st
some how take on Loves three years
Millsap for ONLY three years but if you S&T him, send them Knight

book it

And if he gives milsap all the money and the suns go 37 and 45 he will get the firing he will deserve.

Pass on helping LeBron and trading for Love. If we can move Knight/Len/pick for Millsap then get it done.

We are setting up for next summer. However we should always keep our expectations in check.

What is the point with Millsap? the team has no shot at the PO unless half the West gets severely injured, just tank again

Just stay the course. I'd rather keep Knight if it means Bender and Chriss losing playing time for Milsap just to save money. Blake was a younger candidate.

The Love scenario has to be out the window. Cavs can no longer get anything of value in return outside of melo and he's not a good enough replacement.

I think we'll get back Williams and let Len walk.

The point is that our owner is one of the worst in the league. He's run out of patience and is probably pressuring McD to make a win now move in order to keep his job.
