Maybe the Suns can take on a contract for a team to get them cap space and add a draft pick. Just another asset used rather than waste long term money on a Paul millsap. Short term money, 2 years, fine. But he will get 4/140 from the Twolves or Nuggets for sure

Only way I want Millsap is if we trade Chandler and Knight for him. Then we can keep Len because we Wil eventually need a 7 footer who can defend the paint.

Not much to add, but Millsap would be a terrible idea. I hope we don't rush into that situation.

Taking this for what it's worth, I hope Minny seals it today.

P.S. Scotto>Kennedy>>>Schultz

Come on Twolves - max the heck out of Millsap. Give him the Twin Cities, keys to both Minneapolis and St. Paul. Garnett, Teague, Butler, all show up for the meeting :)

save the Suns from a horrible long term mistake

Teague
Butler
Wiggins
Millsap
Towns

lol they improved fairly fast. Through the draft AND trades AND free agency. Hmmm.....

Well you know why they were able to get butler and sign guys.... because they didn't **** spend 30mil plus a year on a guy like milsap 2 years ago!!! They stockpiled young assets and kept flexibility.

Actually a good parallel would be if the wolves would have spent 20 mil on luol deng last offseason.

Soooooo most people on this forum don't want to trade anyone for all stars ( kyrie ) sign all stars Blake griffin, milsap,

Just want to keep building and hope we get lucky

Ala warriors

Which means odds are we are ALWAYS rebuilding

RARELY do your draft picks win you a title, you need outside signes.

Signing and trading young assists is how teams compete in this league.

Then you have to usually draft one elite player ( booker)

The point is that our owner is one of the worst in the league. He's run out of patience and is probably pressuring McD to make a win now move in order to keep his job.

If that were true, don't you think we would have beat OKC's offer for PG?

Denver can sign Milsap outright as they have the cap space. I was thinking the Suns could do something like this and get the Utah pick but it's actually Oklahomas pick and is heavily protected for three years, so pass on that. So it's either Denver or the Suns. As a poster said earlier I believe and hope this is just a "oh well we tried" thing. 4/150 is pure insanity.

I fully expect Denver to snag him.

In all due respect pay attention.

1. Lots of folks were interested in a 27/28 year old Griffin at 4 years 130 Mil - after he passed his physical

2. The vast majority on this board and other boards want no part of a maxed out Millsap

3. The Warriors did add to their youth to speed up their development - Iggy, Bogut, Livingston, Lee and Durant last year.

4, The Warriors youth core when they started - was - Curry, Thompson, Green and Barnes (They let Barnes walk in FA)

I doubt that there is a championship banner hanging in any arena for any team that did not add wisely in the free agency and make key trades along the way. You cannot only use the draft.

After not being able to not sign Griffin I would hope we sign no one to a max contract this off season. Something needs to be decided for the center position, other than that let's just go to training camp with what we have. I am very happy where this roster sits at this point other than the 5.

Yeah, the timing will have to be perfect with that.

Oh but man I would be so happy if Boston doesn't land Hayward. Haha all their plans getting foiled.

would still love to get JV from Toronto somehow, then call it a day. I assume there asking price is high though.

excellent parallel

and even the Warriors - I believe they ran Curry, Klay and Monta for a year or so before trading Ellis for Bogut. And than able to trade Rush, Biedrins and two first rounders for cap space. Drafted Barnes and Green, brought in Lee at some point

I think you are right - one more year of patience will pay off long term . Granted again, if the right short term deal, under two years, keep your cap flexibility while improving team, I am fine with that

If Hayward truly goes to Miami - that pick is a 2018 first rounder - send it with Knight to the Nets after they fail to get JJ Reddick and call it good

So lets see for Gordon Hayward

Miami, Salt Lake or Boston. -- I love Boston but man, in the winter, that's crazy. So no taxes in Miami, sun sand beach, south beach

Best coach: all are "S" guys but they are all good coaches: Snyder, Stevens but I have to say, the man in Miami, he should just go by his last name as that is what I call him, "Spoelstra!!" -

Conference: the West is loaded so you go East - so that is Boston or Miami. I think he would be a 25ppg scorer in Miami

go South young man - take your talents to South Beach
