Unless he reverts back to Dad Melo, I can't see him being of much value to us given the current state of the franchise that PJax left it in.

Idk what to make of this

“Carmelo’s a great player,’’ Hornacek said during a wide-ranging interview Thursday after summer-league practice. “The guy can really score the ball. So that’s a management decision, and us coaches, we coach who they give us.’’

Oubre Mahimmi and a 1st.

He can be the 6th man since their starting 5 is set. Finally pair him up with a true floor general.

We get something to help the rebuild.

Everybody wins. Though that Mahimi contract is a bad one

Carmelo has to be the only person alive that works out and still looks out of shape.

SAS said once Paul got traded to Houston he heard Houston was in on brining Melo in which means MDA is okay with it. Melo and MDA actually are on good terms it seems and have put the past behind him.

I like where your head's at. But hiring a hit man is hella expensive.

Not if the hitman is a knicks fan

I like where you're heads at. Yes, I get that that's repetitive.

You can trade a stretch for that shoot three pointers in a higher percentage. You cannot trade A stretched salary

Begley just tweeted we talked to the Rockets but nothing came about.

Rockets offering little or Knicks asking for too much.

Obviously the MDA dynamic isn't an issue.

Why doesn't the Knicks get ANY First-Round pick(s) for Melo from the Rockets, since they're trading picks for Iman Shumpert?

Better than buying Melo out

Let's hope the Celtics don't get Gordon Hayward. I'm thinking the Knicks are holding on to Melo for now because they are looking to see what's going on with the Celtics and which domino falls.

Not getting Paul George is eating at Ainge right now. Perhaps if get Hayward or not, you would think that the Celtics are more amenable to give up SOME assets/picks for Melo, after the disappointment on losing out on Paul George.

Marcus Smart & salary and *ANY* first round pick can get it done if the Celtics want to contend. The Knicks don't have to buy out Melo, and Melo makes the Celtics a lot better for a while (his game will age well)

And when you realize Anderson is even worse defensively and will be around even longer, than what?

Absolutely not.

I think we can still flip Ryan Anderson to another team. We're not gonna get much more than a Ryan Anderson type.

The Rockets...who has a MUCH MORE skilled GM hasn't been able "flip" Anderson. What makes you think that Steve Mills has the where with all to do that?

no way we should take on a longer contract that is even bigger than Noah's that has no benefit to our team whatsoever - horrible trade - buyout is much better than that

If we can flip him, then it should be a 3way. Why take that risk? I still don't see Melo and Mike D together.

Brian Wildhorst said that Anthony to Houston is not near a problem as people think. He said DAntoni has indicated that he'd be fine with it.
