Interesting to see what happens here. Basically the Suns just announced Chandler, Bledsoe, Knight (shock), and Dudley available. That is the sum total of our vets.
They have also announce our willingness to sell cap space to the highest bidder. We will take picks and young players. Timing is perfect. Lots of agreements in principle with free agents, now the number crunchers are trying to get creative in finding the best way to make it work.
Well, great to hear. All in on going young. People desperate to clear cap space. Those who are striking out on free agents could want our vets, though the C market seems oversaturated so probably not much interest in Chandler.

Dudley seems so confident that he won't get traded. Is it because of his injury?

Monroe was critical for them the past season.
Then why are they shopping him for cap relief? It’s no secret that the Bucks need to clear some cap room–or, more correctly, get farther from the luxury tax that is suddenly quite close. As I wrote earlier, the Milwaukee Bucks are in salary cap hell. The moves that many have expected the Bucks to make are moving one or more of Matthew Dellavedova, Mirza Teletovic, and John Henson. All three of those players are reserves, and all of them make something around $10 million for the next two seasons at least.

Knight drops them down $5M, and provides a player at a position of need for them.
Cap space for a needed player > Knight, who Kidd doesnt like

I think its because dudley signed that contract fully understanding he was gettting paid as a mentor more than a player. No reason to move him if hes fine sitting on the bench.

So who sees a door opening in their conference, is desperate to get a free agent, and has lots of assets?
"Danny, this is Ryan . . . "
Looks like Len is getting some play. Interesting trade in the body Matthews, Powell for Chandler / S&T Len. Would leave the Suns without a big man but would get cap relief in 2018 from Matthews and Powell seems like a young player for #TheTimeline

If we are committing to going young, we should trade Chandler and keep Len.

Bledsoe is the one vet I really don't want to trade. He's still fairly young and very good.

+1
Seems like a positive upbeat high IQ company guy, who is honest and really gives a ssshhhiiittt about all the people/teammates surrounding him. Hes a guy who can help create culture and mentor young cats into being high character and quality professionals on and off the court.

What position of need? They like to use Greek Freak as the point, but also can now use Brogdon. They just re-signed Tony Snell who plays a lot of minutes and have Middleton. They already have their crappy vet pg in Dellavedova, who actually passes better than Knight and shoots better from 3. Delly had by far his worst year too, and overall had similar value to Knight, but makes less....they sure as hell wouldn't want another one.
And Kidd obviously didn't even want to keep him after his rookie contract, so why would he want him now after he makes a ton and has declined considerably?
I don't really like Monroe either since he only averages about .5 bpg and can't shoot.
But yeah, of course I'd trade Knight for him anyway.

Maybe. It reads like it's straight from his agent though.

I think we all know that has almost zero chance of happening. Sarver's gonna let him run out his contract and then ask him to take a paycut like he did with Kerr. Then McD will leave for a better offer.

There's at least a chance he just persuaded Sarver not to pursue Millsap. If he did, he's the best GM we could ever hope for

Re: Trade & Free Agency Ideas & Discussion 2
what are some bad contracts teams need to unload?
I can think of Noah, Deng, Ryan Anderson...who else?
what picks/assets can we get for being the NBA's dumpster?

Yeah, but that depends on the money.
Do you want him for $36M/3 years...for example? He is a bench player, I want him back but on a low salary.
12 M is a low salary nowadays.
still 12% of the cap for a guy who hasn't proven he can be a starter

They probably have someone summarizing the consensus thoughts of fans from various sites. I doubt it influences them too much though.
