But I don't see the point in spending any more money at C either when we already have 20M committed to three Cs.

In this case, it makes more sense to go after someone like Olynyk who plays the 4 but is big enough to play some minutes at the 5. And I'm actually all for going small which fits our playing style of outrunning and outgunning other teams.

Gibson, Olynyk, Patterson, Nene, Jerebko, Green, Alan Williams are now the best available bigs. I'd like to throw in Tarik Black but we already have Book and Acy.

Would Ilyasova be a possible target?

I would much rather have THJR than overpaying KCP.

I'd love to get alan williams as he is an excellent rebounder and has great touch around the rim. Only thing is with Phoenix pulling out of the Milsap run and going young along with Williams being a RFA, it would require an overpay to avoid being matched. But I would be very happy to land him.

I think the best target should be Patterson. The raptors don't seem to be heavily since they are more worried about Lowry, ibaka, and tucker. PP is a good defender, is 28 years old so a 2-3 deal would not be a regret, and has shot over 36% from 3 each of the last 4 seasons.

The interest order goes as the following:

- Porter
- KCP
- Ingles
- Hardaway Jr

I think Kenny and Marks believe KCP can switch to the SF position in small ball lineups. KCP has the upside at 24 to be a 40% 3pt / Top 15 defender kind of wing. A bigger Avery Bradley.

Again, they're looking to add talent and athleticism and will worry about fit later. They want defense and/or shooting upside.

The Wizards are compelled to match the Porter deal.

If they don't do it then Wall is not going to sign the extension.

Besides if Porter maintains his level of production I could see the Knicks trading Melo to them at the deadline. Makes sense for both times.

Plus Melo is from DC and would still be close to his son.

Woj reporting that were still looking for salary dumps.

I love that strategy.

Would way rather have first round picks then throwing the max at KCP.

What about Tyson Chandler and then we try and get someone like Alex Len from Phoenix

KCP a 40% 3 point shooter? He can't even shoot 40% from the field let alone 3.

I would do that in a heartbeat.

I don't get the feeling that Phoenix wants to dump Chandler though.

Gallo misses way too much time to justify paying him a dime

vincecarter4pres wrote:I really am starting to sour on all FA's unless the plan is Porter as a small ball 4. Lin/Russell is reportedly our backcourt, meaning LeVert is the starting 3. We have a relatively strong and cheap bench and next year no one of importance up for a new contract accept possibly Lin, meaning we'll still be players next summer and all this year, in free agency or trade, respectively.

Let it play out as is for now unless a great trade comes up. Maybe even something solid like Danny Green and a pick for Goodwin/Harris/cap space.

Ingles doesn't move the needle. Olynick is solid, but more center than power forward. Gallo would actually make sense but he's always injured, older and wants 4 years and $80 to $95 million. Redick wants to start.

Stand pat. No value contracts which clog the cap long term. Redick would be nice even for 2 years and $40+ million, but again, he wants to start and cannot start at the 3.

I'll trust Marks, but I don't see value for us in FA unless Washington were bluffing and let Porter walk.

Please no to KCP.

This is where I am... keep the space open unless you can sign Olynk, patrick patterson, or a deal for porter(which im 50/50 on). i think we may get a better player going the trade route like we did for russell.

id love to consolidate 2-3 of our gaurds with 10-15M in cap space for a bad contract + good young player.

How much money do you guys want to have locked into the center spot?

Hardaway Jr. had a career year with the Hawks but I'm not sure about the fit here. Even with Redick, it was hard to see it but at least Redick had the advantage of being a veteran/mentor to young players.

Well we have like no Power Forwards. I'd just play some of those guys there.

But I just looked at Chandler's contract and have changed my mind lol. Not worth it for Alex Len.
