paul george is a great fit. the only downside to this move i can possibly think of is if paul george convinced westbrook to leave with him next summer.

Westbrook may very well leave some day but if he does so, I think it's his decision. I don't think he will be convinced by anyone.

Also from what I've heard, PG is more the follower type.

I don't think adding George increases the odd of Russ leaving. If Russ doesn't extend this off-season AFTER this revamp then he wasn't going to before. That means Presti made the choice of potentially one last run over rebuilding with what he could get from Russ. Presti might already know Russ is going to sign and he is just waiting until all this unfolds. Russ might be waiting to make the announcement on the same day kd resigns with GS.

OKC's front office did its due diligence by trading for George and the trade itself is proof Presti wants to win. With Russ and George, the scoring load shifts off Westbrook a lot. Adams will be a solid pick and roll partner with either Russ or George out on the perimeter. They do,however, need to improve their bench. I hope they can manage to scout talent which will contribute on the perimeter and get open shots when the defense collapses on Westbrook or George. If Westbrook willed this team to 47 wins, better believe the team with George is a 55-56 win team at best and will be either top 3 or 4 in the West. If Presti can just squeeze another rabbit out of the hole, then we are talking 60 win potential with contendership status, maybe say a Carmelo Anthony.

Bballbreakdown on Twitter posted George's play type percentages. He's remarkably well rounded.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Fantastic move especially when you consider that Oladipo himself was probably overpaid. Even for a rental of Paul George, a playoff run with Westbrook and Adams should help encourage him to stay afterwards instead of joining the dire situation in either Los Angeles roster.
