Also, Texas has no state income tax. I'm no wiz at these things, but it might amount to about the same after taxes are factored in, annually.

Sure you can. He provided zero offence and good (but not world-beating) defence. We'll manage just fine without him.

I think you might be under rating the intangibles he brings to the table. The hustle plays that are infectious. The enthusiasm he brings, the ability to hold teammates accountable. Being a vocal guy. Bringing an element of grit and toughness to a squad lacking it. He did a lot of the things that don't always show up on the stat sheet, but are important elements to winning franchises.
