Have got to say... when you put the teams side by side like that... my goodness.

CP3 > Fultz (Who knows what we will be saying 12 months from now)
Redick = Redick
Barnes < Covington (Cov Better defender)
Griffin < Simmons (Simmons better handler, passer, IQ)
DeAndre < Embiid (Embiid better scorer and probably equal if not better Defender)
Saric > Anyone remaining on the Clips.

If everyone is healthy by end of the year this move makes Philly a legit threat in the playoffs. Not just merely making it. With fultz, Simmons and a healthy roster, you're talking playoffs. With JJ Philly can legitimately get past 1st round. This team will trouble Celtics. And I know Raptors had problems with Sixers last year, and that was without Simmons, fultz and Redick. It won't surprise me.

I could see the Sixers taking some time to jell, and maybe not finish as high of a seed as people think, but if the Sixers say finish as a 6th seed and are clicking on all cylinders down the stretch, they will be a very dangerous out for a team at the top. Because when healthy Embiid is basically unguarable and the playoff teams at the top have no big who can even come close to defending him.

JJ should have at least 1 on these types of games next season.

With our offense/tempo and him having the green light from BB to let it fly, it should be fun to watch.

In terms of location, money & contract length it is actually the real best deal for JJ since he can earn the most this year and meanwhile holding the much needed flexibility next year for chasing the ring.

However it is not neccessarily best deal for us.
First, we are in the process of developing young core, JJ will take away lots of exspensive playing time from them..
Second, JJ turned down offer from the Nets where he could possibly help to win a few more games to hurt the draft order of the Celtics..

1:31 is the best shot of the video hands down.

I guess it's because many casual Sixers fans just jumped on the bandwagon right now and haven't watched basketball in 10 years, but it's so painful how many Sixers fans think that a lineup of Fultz, Redick, Covington, Simmons, Embiid means that Simmons wouldn't play point duties.

I see a lot of guys who cover the team putting out that lineup and people going "No... Simmons is the PG!"

Do people not understand that listing a starting lineup in some arbitrary order doesn't preclude Simmons from running point duties?

It's painful.

I also see a lot of "Saric needs to start over Covington, the starting lineup needs as many shooters as possible" without realizing Covington is a better shooter than Saric.

Such a great fit. Couldn't ask for a better off-season than you guys had.

Jesus man you cant honestly think that. You can't play all rookies and young guys at every position all year every year and expect to win. We need to win games and get to the playoffs and have a competitive year. JJ vastly improves that chance with his fit and shooting ability. He makes life easier for the young core in just about all aspects

This offseason a has gone perfectly. Now a perfect similarly perfect 2017-8 season would culminate in a 6th seeded Sixers knocking out the Celtics in the playoffs. That would be an on the court embodiment of #RTArmageddon.

As a Charlotte Hornets fan, I must say I love the make up of your roster. Good luck this year!

Hyped right now. Watched Horn beat Pac for the Welterweight crown. Went to the fight. Now we have a legit basketball team. A great day in my household.

Simmons is an incredible dribbler for his size, with 4 3pt shooters on the floor, he will be almost unstoppable being the playmaker. Defenders are going to have trouble staying in front of him, if he becomes efficient with pull-ups, his size and vision gives him an advantage to choose which mismatch to attack.
Also, he is a great PF or SF on defense, he will get a lot of rebounds and quickly start fast breaks for easy buckets. It's not important if you label him as PG, because he is going to be the main playmaker and Fultz will be the secondary. Furthermore, Saric can be used to be the main playmaker for the 2nd unit, almost the same role as Simmons. He will be the first sub off the bench, he could replace Simmons or replace Covington and Simmons moves to the 3 for a stronger lineup. It should be interesting to see how Brett Brown uses everyone to keep them fresh.

If Embiid plays 50+ games, we should easily win 40 games. The east is weak and he is a monster.

Without Embiid, I don't see playoffs. I see two high potential rookies and some nice complementary parts.

JJ is a great fit from a bball standpoint. Dead eye shooter who add another dimension to our half court offense and a release valve for Fultz, Embiid and Simmons. Also a good role model for younger players both on and off the court.

i have watched jj since his freshman year at duke and suffered watching him play in Orlando and briefly in mil. howard in Orlando was a ball hog to the max and had rather turn it over than pass. same thing in mil. with awful pg play. it was great in la because cris paul would actually pass. my point is this. he will be great if these young guys will screen and pass and let him work. he is also a solid passer and a good team defender. I just hope they buy in to what he can do. look forward to a great year.
