Can any expert answer if this is possible under current salary cap rules:

-- Available capspace is ~36million
-- If Miami were to sign Waiters to around 12 million,
-- and JJ to around 9 million, then leftover cap is around 15 million

Can we do a sign and trade with Utah.... Hayward for Mcbob + Ellington + 2023 First Round draft pick? Does the salaries match?

Makes sense for Utah, they get a draft pick and an elite shooter plus expiring and we get to roll this out all the way to ECF or Finals

Dragic/ Jrich
Mion/TJ
JJ/Mcgruder
Hayward/Winslow
Hassan/Bam

Ingles going back has me thinking Hayward stays in Utah. We needed Lavar Ball in that meeting damnit.

So if we don't get Hayward can I blame you as bad luck for revealing yourself now?

Welcome aboard!

On the bright side, if Riley didn't believe he had a shot we probably would've resigned JJ by now and Dion. Then again if Riley knew Hayward was coming the same could be said about signing JJ to a smaller deal? Man this waiting game blows.

First, Winslow is in his 3rd year and doesn't need to play Summer League. What if he gets injured? ;-)

Second, I don't see wife and kids in that picture and they are arriving late to Boston which seems to suggest... if she was here (as rumored) that she stayed here to enjoy the beach, shopping, etc. Lifestyle. They don't even have Publix in Massachusetts. primitives.

Miami should have put a Publix sub on the table at the meeting. He might have signed on the spot.

I'm vegan, but I understand their fried chicken is laced with opiates. At least that would explain my son's addiction.

By the way, if you want to get an avatar to pair with your profile, it's in the preferences. Most of us are using variations of Waiters' pose since the Heat beat Golden State. If you need help, just ask and we'll help you navigate. I would recommend not hanging out on the general board until you feel comfortable. It's easy to pick up warnings (or at least it was.)

Thanks I figured out how to get an avatar. This isn't my first time on a somewhat strict forum so I'll be fine. At least there's some rules considering I talk on the other basketball forum and it's completely wild there lol. I can't seem to talk on the general NBA forum for 60 days anyways.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
