The ONLY deal Melo will accept is getting a buy out so he can sign on with the Cavs for potatoes.

Once again, a player uses the Knicks like a whore.

Not sure what "surviving Phil Jackson" means, or why it would affect a potential trade to Boston.

Melo would still get the same money if he was traded. I'm not sure why uou think the only deL he wiuld take is a buy out.

Melo would add a lot to Boston. Melo has shown that he can play with other talented players (in the Olympics).

Boston has more assets than they know what to do with. If the miss out on Hayward Melo would be a viable 2 year option for them.

How did Melo use us "like a whore". We don't have to trade him. Wr don't have to buy him out. If he wants out of NY he's the one that needs to put on the knee pads. We can let him rot in street clithes for 2 years while we rebuild and he watches his championship window slowly close.

I'd be hapoy to trDe Melo, but there's no chance that I would buy him out. There's no gun to our head. We're in the driver's sest.

Are you serious? After all of Phil's passive-aggressive pollution, you don't THINK Carmelo Anthony wanted to outlast Phil Jackson? Of course he did.

What do I mean about using the Knicks like a whore? The Knicks have been the victims of BAD contracts long before Phil Jackson came on board. Melo is no different.

It's been reported that Melo is not going to waive his no-trade clause, demands the Knicks to pay his remaining contract and release him so he can go to Cleveland...all the assets the Knicks gave in order to get him, all the money money the Knicks gave, and he wants them to get NOTHING so he can go and win a ring.

It's one thing to be that way when Phil Jackson was in charge, there's no reason to draw this out now that Phil's gone.

I'll sum up.

Melo has zero leverage. We don't HAVE to give him anything, and that includes playing time.

Your idea is to sit or DNP a healthy Melo just because he's exercising the NTC that THE KNICKS GAVE HIM? Melo didn't just get a DUI, gun charge, drug violation, or an "malice in the palace" incident, but you want to shun him for exercising his right? How do you think the players association and NBA players around the league(and Knicks players)will feel about that? OMG, this era of Knicks basketball has already hurt the brand, and you want to kill it. Do you care at all about the Knicks?

I used hyperbole to illustrate the lack of leverage that Melo has. I don't want or expect us to dnp him for extended periods of time.

if half those assets/picks turn out to be good players, thats doing a pretty good job. he might as well trade some because not all of them are gonna pan out. and based on Ainge's draft history, most dont

lol Ainge shouldnt waste his stash for a chemistry killing, old man, melo whos been rumored to be bought out. and not because of fear, but because hes smarter then that. melo isnt worth the highlights that dont produce the wins.

I'd really like to see Melo in Houston

CP3
Harden
Ariza
Melo
Capela

that can at least give GS some resistance in the West

If Mills is able to pull of a Melo trade where we actually get a asset then i wouldnt mind holding off on a GM hunt

if he goes to either Houston or Cleveland, whatever they are trading better be sent to a 3rd team for young assets/draft picks because none of their assets fit our timeline

Houston with Mike D'ANTONI, I don't see it happening. Cleveland is a possibility but then we would most likely be taking back of the two trash boys and alot of garbage. I don't see how cleveland can do it with out a third team

what will cleveland have to offer? Kevin love has more value than melo because of his age.

I'd take shumpert back to match salaries if they give us draft picks and a stud young player like cedi osman. but I never want to see JR smith's punkass in a knicks jersey ever again.
