Yeah, i think that D'antoni firing thing came straight from Pringles' mouth himself.

I doubt that's a deal breaker though. These two men are professionals through and through.

anderson and capela for melo is a fair ask

Anderson is one of the worst contracts in the NBA, I would stay away from it.

There has to be 3 way scenario, where a team is interested in Love.

He comes to Knicks his role would increase exponentially...for once we are buying low ...when he's back to his pre Cleveland scoring teams will be creaming for him...if we can get love id pick him up at the airport

that ryan anderson 2 1st pick salary dump is a easier pill to swallow for both the knicks and morey. morey wasn't willing to give that up for dumping his deal in order to make space for someone else, but i think he'd be willing to do it for a melo.

problem is, that greedy **** might protect the **** outta those picks.

either way, the only thing that both teams would be willing to trade are salary dumps plus picks. it all depends on each teams projected trajectory when those picks come into play. harden is in the middle of his prime, lebron is still peaking.

I think we hold more cards than u think. The idea after getting dragged through the mud to play a season maybe even off the bench on a rebuilding team. May be too much for Melo. I would make him add teams to the list. Boston, miami, Toronto all should become options. He has an opt out after this year. So he can do what he wants after this year. But if he doesn't it's gonna be a very loooooong year in NYC. And that should be made clear to him

if we're moving love elsewhere, sure. i don't think he's available though. not for melo anyway. they're going to need a core 4 including melo to even have a chance vs gsw.

Hell no to trading Melo for Ryan Anderson. He is a 3 point camper that is getting paid a ton and does nothing else. Give me 2 of Ariza, Gordon or Capela and a future 1st.

I don't think we're getting frisked with the Melo trade. We're not the ones pressuring to get Melo as it's finally the other way around.

Cleveland needs to get someone after they missed out on PG and the Rockets need a 3rd man. I trust in Mills.

In this scenario, Melo or Love have to come off the bench. Playing Love at 5 and Melo at 4 seems like a disaster defensively

Being the third option of the Cavs and with a ball dominant pg his value is the lowest it will ever be...image him with a selfless pg as the 1.5 option...30 games in teams will be chomping at the bit for him

Love, Capella, picks?

Sorry boys, any Melo trade is going to be for expiring contracts and MAYBE a late first.

Agreed. The only guy from both Houston and Cleveland that I want is Isaiah Hartenstein. Bleh. I mean Love would be fine if we could flip him, but still.

Three-team deal, please.

Hartenstein, a young rotation player and a couple of first rounders would make me happy....Or if we can unload both Melo AND Noah.

I rather sign Melo to an extension than trade for Anderson

Cap wise the only trade available is Ryan Anderson and a 2020 unprotected draft pick

what is with the anderson hate? He has been in the playoffs 5 of his 9 seasons and a few of the years he didn't make the playoffs was because New orleans was wrecked by injuries year after year, so he obviously does contribute to winning teams. I don't see why he is so unmoveable when so many teams are looking for a stretch 4.

Ariza would be a nice acquisition as part of the deal. Locker room leader
