Congrats Nuggets fans, he should be a good addition down low with Jokic.

Hey guys, saw a report that your team may be looking to dump contracts, including Arthur's, to get space for another move. As a fan of a team with many unguaranteed contracts that could use him, why did he only play 41 games last year? Big/nagging injury? Or just a bunch of little freak accident injuries?

Good contract (considering the market), especially the team option in the third year.

Yeah, I think the Nuggets want to dump some contracts but they won't have a fire sale. Our ownership doesn't believe in that.
He tore an ACL about 5 years ago and has had occasional "sore knee" issues since. Over the years he's had the normal "strained something" but a lot of the time he missed last year was because the Nuggets had too many PFs and he was the odd man out.

He'd be a player that would fit well for you guys. He's never a lockerroom/attitude problem and he's a solid all-around player. His defense isn't great, but it isn't bad. His 3pt shooting is fairly good when he's gets an open look and I bet he'd get some on your team. His stats will pretty much tell his story.

The problem with trading with Denver is we have too many PFs, an adequate number of SFs, too many SGs, and too many PGs. On the other hand, no one really knows what our front office wants to do. One word they use often is "consolidate", so trading two for your one player just might fly, it it's the right guy. I have no idea who that would be though.

Congrats on the Sap score! Now, if you guys pick up G. Hill you have fully weaponized for the WC bloodbath. Its gonna be nuts out there. You wouldn't mind sending Gallo over to your Rocky Mtn buddies the Jazz, would you?

There was some minor injury issues, but the main reason Arthur missed so many games was due to other guy's attitudes. He volunteered to be taken out of the rotation when Chandler and Nurkic were both openly bitching about their minutes, to keep the peace in the lockerroom and allow the Nuggets to develop the young guys. He would be a great fit for what you guys are trying to build in Houston.

I know you guys traded for a bunch of non-guaranteed deals, any idea of how much and when they get guaranteed?

they have 4 non guaranteed deals (another one that can't be aggregated with other players for two months, Uthoff):
Kelly (1.58 mil), Long, Quarterman, Taylor (all 1.3 mil). Using the 175% rule they can take back Arthur's salary with Kelly and 2 of the other 3's deals. Kelly is the only one with a guarantee date before the league wide deadline in January, and it is the day after the moratorium ends.

Its now time to trade all those always injured PF's Denver have on its roster. If Denver can bring quality point guard , this team is bound to play off's and I think they can go to 5,6 place in the West.

I would do it for a future 2nd it helps us out, but you get a perfect fit and a good player.

This is actually a great contract. Congrats milsap is awesome.

Can anyone tell me what you actually offered for love in that 3 way deal with the pacers and cavs?
Seems like this is a better outcome. Milsap is a better player and you don't give up any assets.

Maybe your fo like the fit of love offensivley and on the boards better? I guess being younger might of factored in.

Not sure anyone knows what was actually offered for Love. I'll agree Millsap is a better fit. I'm not sure what the FO thinks about anything.

Yeah i dunno who the better fit is thats why i thought maybe they preferred love. I guess age an contract would have made it easier to get Hill as well.

But in a vacuum milsap is definitely a better player. He was still getting better last year so i really think age is a non issue. "underrated" gets thrown out a lot bu i deinitley think hes the most underrated guy in the league.

The reported offers that I have read was Harris, Faried, and either a heavily protected 1st or Lyles Pacer's choice.

I think we preferred Millsap as we have been trying to trade for him for almost 2 years but Love has an old contract and was guaranteed and free agency was a risk considering the last big name free agent we signed was KMart in 2004.

Man. I love your team.

We're in a strange place now because the truth is I don't think Millsap likely to be relevant by the time the young core is truly ready to compete for the title, but I still think this is a great move. I think you could be great, amazing to watch, and potentially a great role model to build your culture.

The thing is we needed a veteran to show our young guys how to win, and how hard they need to work. I view it as similar to when the Thunder got Perkins, or the Heatles got Battier, or even the Warriors got Bogut, Millsap fills a much needed role on the court but more importantly he can teach these guys how to be successful and work hard enough to take advantage of their talent. I think we are going to surprise a lot of people over the next few years.
