We did that last year - and failed.

In before HIF says something depressing about how Bam actually sucks.

Is it just me, or would you personally hate doing this process?

Gordon has 3 fan bases anxiously awaiting his decision and whatever choice he makes, he'll have 2 of those fan bases supremely disappointed.

It definitely has to be a grueling process, especially for a young guy with a family.

However, I don't think he cares about the fan bases lol.

Tell me that's a face that doesn't care?

I bet he can't wait for this to all be over so he can sit back and crack open a cold Snapple.

My prediction is that we hear Gordon's decision on Wednesday. Whatever it is. But please be us.

It has to be stressful. At the same time, it's a real opportunity to learn more about your game. Two great coaches analyze every aspect of your game and tell you how it can be improved. Worst case scenario (for him) is that he takes it back to Utah and makes his team better.

Feeling like word on Hayward's choice will surface tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

What if the Heat sign Hayward and the main path to resigning Waiters is by trading him to the Nets?

We can't trade TJ to Brooklyn until 7/10

Yessir. Because they were the team that tried to sign his offer sheet that we matched last year, we had to wait until July 10th, 2017 (I'm almost positive that we matched on July 10th, 2016) if we were to trade him back to Brooklyn.

However we are able to trade him to any other team immediately. However Brooklyn makes a lot of sense due to cap, their need for another guard (TJ would fit well with Lin, Russell and Lavert), and the fact that they wanted him last year.

Pat Riley, the Utah Jazz negotiating squad, Hayward and Waiters all happen to be in Southern California today, where face-to-face negotiations are a possibility. :D 8-)

I believe Tyler has more upside than Dion. So he's my preference if it came down to it.

Would Shabazz sign for Mid Level? Wolves pulled QO from him. Could be interesting if Gordon signs and Dion is lost.

Or, a sign and trade with the Jazz for Hayward would work?

It looks like the Nets have new people in charge. No way they take TJ unless major assets go there way too. Its a toxic contract for a reason. Just guessing they may want a future unprotected draft pick from us ( Pat's days here are numbered realistically the end is closer than we realize) and at least Winslow. They can just not hit the salary floor and spread out the remainder with the players they have.

I think TJs contract will only be bad for a year. My feeling is after the 18/19 season he opts out and sign another 4/50 evenly spread.

Return to Miami Heat
