I trust Masai will get something worthwhile for JV or not deal at all. I just can't believe they'd give up jonas instead of getting rid of casey first

Would like Chandler here, but if JV is too slow for casey to figure out, what will he do with Chandler? Also no to Pascal as part of trade

MLSE make a lot of money with overpriced tickets and are owned by 2 enormous corporations. I don't care about them paying the tax. They owe us that **** for our loyalty regardless of the team's playoff performance. Trade JV if a deal comes along that makes sense. I could care less about the cap though. They wanted to bring back the core to make the playoffs again and probably increase ticket sales for a first or second round exit. LET THEM PAY.

I think they will pay the tax. Even if they clear salary this offseason norms contract will inevitably take us into the tax (maybe thats one of the reasons they're clearing room)

And let them cycle a Raps story to the top of the heap. I have reached hockey critical masse.

They are talking about how it is not likely for the Knicks to get Kevin Love if they are in the re-building process unless a third team is involved.

Knicks Recieve: JV + Carroll + some pick
Cavs Recieve: Melo
Raptors Recieve: Kevin Love (on a 3 year contract)

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=wxow5gj

Trade CJ for some pick to clear space, sign veterans

Why? He's been on the block since last year and there are no takers for a reason. His mould of center just doesn't have much of a place in the current NBA. Casey would be playing him if he could defend or spread the floor better.

Am I the only one hitting refresh every 5 minutes expecting a trade?

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I was thinking maybe instead of trading JV, we might try... I don't know... incorporating him into the offence like Casey said he was going to do after the end of the season last year?

Yeah. I hope he gets traded to a team that is actually interested in utilizing his strengths.

I bet he will beat up on the Raps when we play against him.

Yeah all of this is confusing. A JV + Cojo combo in a trade means we are taking back salary and years no matter what. What does this accomplish. We really are just moving on from JV huh. I really wanna see what Masai is trying to do here

It doesn't matter what shape he's in - big men with talent WILL NOT flourish under Casey. The only big men who work are guys who play like garbage men. Wasn't there some stat about the big men on the Raptors having the worst usage or something.

Biyombo having a breakout season here wasn't no accident.

can we trade for Biz? He beat Lebron twice.

He doesn't have a plan.
He doesn't know what he's doing next.
I've been saying it for ages. I haven't seen any semblance of a plan this year, just like last year.

Also, Kyle is making more than KD. Good grief.

When you're capped out and too good to be looking at a chance to get a top lottery pick in the near future you don't have many options. Basically sign your own guys, try to find value pieces to add to roster, and float trades to see what might be available.

If we had signed Tucker people would be talking about how it would be a huge impact having him and Ibaka through camp and a full season. Because we didn't there is a "gap" that needs to be filled but not many obvious pieces out there.
