Good deal. Only 2 years (team option for 3rd) isn't gonna hurt you, and you get the shine of signing a quasi-marquee FA which looks good for a less than marquee franchise.
If Jokic is as good as they say he is, Milsap next to him gives them a push up the hierarchy

a steal? how much do you think the guy is worth? he's really good and dependable, but he's never been a franchise player and now he's past his prime
I think he'll age very well. I Very likely could be wrong but I don't expect a drop off. I think he'll become the leader of the team

Of course they are trying to win, they finished one game back of the blazers for the 8th spot and they just signed millsap.
Which is negated if Gallo leaves. But yeah, ideally every team is trying to win.
No, they should definitely be better, even if Gallo leaves
Well, they would have been better if no changes took place because they have another year of experience. Millsap is a better defender but he's an undersized PF who's efficiency went down as his usage went up. And yes, he was a 4x All-Star but would likely have never made an All-Star team if he had stayed in the West.
Gallo is a better scorer and a bigger threat from the perimeter. He was Denver's leading scorer and important for their floor spacing. I agree that Millsap is better overall and more likely to stay healthy but not so much better that swapping him for Gallo will get them to the second round of the playoffs. In fact, with the improvements of Minni, New Orleans and even Portland I wouldn't be surprised if Denver missed the playoffs again.

if divisions really meant anything in the nba
They do. 2-4 more losses can sometimes be the difference between the pos or not
you play the teams in your división 4 times and the other teams in your conference 3.6 times. that is a total of only 1.6 extra games against your division over the entire course of the season. so...if EVERY other team in your división is filled with 6 year olds OR if EVERY team in your división is the Golden state Warriors, it would still not impact your W/L so much as a single game in either direction. and in reality...
if you played in the worst conference in basketball last season (atlantic, .446), you would gain only 0.09 extra wins over the course of the season vs. playing in an average division. if you played in the best conference in basketball (southwest, .551), you would lose an additional 0.08 games
the most your división can reasonably affect your results is a whopping one-tenth of a win over the course of an entire season
so yeah, divisions are meaningless. sites like basketballreference list standings by conference and don´t even mention divisions. for good reason

i suspect he´ll age well too. he did drop off a smidge last season at age 31. maybe that´s just a blip, or the beginning of a slow decline
regardless, if 30 mil per is potentially a STEAL, that implies that he could be worth 35 mil plus per year. and only a handfull of players in the entire league are worth more than a third of their team's salary cap

It's only a two year deal with a team option, correct? Maybe their decision year 3 will give us the answer. Also I thought he could've been worthy of a Max somewhere like Miami SAS OKC PORTLAND Minnesota or Utah if they lose Hayward. I might've oversold him but outside his numbers I think he'll lead also. Hopefully injuries don't derail him

Nope not really didn't see Denver on tv last year. I see just from looking at the numbers Jokic is a real steal(2nd round pick in 2014) in his 2nd season posting up a double double in his 2nd season. I see being 22 he has a lot of potential. I still think for now Denver is a middle pack team 7-10 seed.
I don't think I Trust The Process anymore!

Yes but he is on a 2 year contract the third year a team option so any dip in production they can show him the door.. At the end of the contract they may be able to sign him to less if the team is starting to have success the risk is pretty low.. They keep cap flexibility when they start to get really good..

Everyone was upset that Kobe got 2 yrs $48 Million dollars, but nothing from Paul Millsap who won no championships made it to 0 Finals, and only 1 CF and got swept by the LeBron and the Cavs. Okay.

He is the best passer I've ever seen (granted I never watched Magic). Skys the limit for him

Kobe was not being paid for expected production. it was a going away present. and, uh...if you hadn't noticed, the cap has jumped substantially since Kobe signed his last deal
and should Anthony Davis get far less than a max deal because he hasn´t had team success? ridiculous argument
which is not to say the millsap isn't being overpaid. he is
