Just Being engaged in talks is at least something. No chance we get him, but now I can dream.

Ah, Porzingis. Well, you know - once news of talks "in process" breaks, we're out.

Yeah, my phone autocorrected Porzingis to porkchop once and I've called him that ever since then. His face kinda looks like porky pig anyway so I think it fits.

My favorite Porzingis nickname is Kristaps Adultman (after Vincent Adultman from Bojack Horseman, 3 kids standing on top of each other in a trenchcoat).

If we're being honest, as long as Russ is on the roster, could be worse than about 20-25 teams at least.

Since the deadline

Bulls have lost:

Doug McDermott
Taj Gibson
Future second round pick
Jimmy Butler
Pick 16
Jordan Bell

Bulls have gained:

Cameron Payne/Anthony Morrow/Joffrey Lauvergne
Kris Dunn/Zach LaVine
Markannen
3.5 million dollars
Wade picking up his 24 million dollar contract

Those are some...uh...bold moves. Bold.

Rockets make a 9 for 1 (?) for Paul? Plans for move in & out? You can make moves if you are realistic and pro-active.

utah cleared his salary, too. so it was about more than the 1st round pick.

still, shows the value of having picks around to use in these situations.

Team has to be making a lot of money from sellouts, jersey sales.

Will make even more at new arena.

So I didn't care if they paid luxury taxes. In fact when I look at some of the small market teams around the league, the revenue sharing and luxury taxes are necessary. I don't think Utah or some of these other teams which have older ownership (not the new breed of billionaire hedge fund guys or tech moguls who've been buying teams in the last decade) have such deep pockets.

So if they want to keep 30 teams in the league, it has to be this way.

Which is why it's bananas that they have guys taking pay cuts.

I'm hoping for Utah to not endure the same fate as OKC last year, but it is under very similar circumstances.

Ah well, at least he wouldn't be joining the team that beat him in the playoffs and say if was the hardest road. :banghead:

This Hayward thing has me on edge. On the one hand is better for us if he leaves, but I root for small markets and don't want Utah fans going through the **** we went through last year. Do the right thing Gordon.

It just goes to show if you have got the stars, everything else works itself out.
