Look,
I've been on this forum a while and I've seen a fair share of fanboys on this forum.
From the TJ vs Jose debates,
to the Bargnani fan boys,
hell we had guys here who thought Joey Graham was going to develop into an Igoudala.
Everybody has their own perspective on players and although metrics and performance do prove who is an impact player vs who is not, sometimes there are situations where certain opinions are legitimate.
For instance; I advocated a lot for Lowry and was delighted Colangelo got him from Houston. What I was really pissed off about, was Lowry backing up Jose because Casey wasn't flexible enough to give the keys to Lowry.
Jose was defensively weaker, statistically at the time, and although shot the ball well, he was a really bad fit for our team. Eventually Lowry took over and look at what he has accomplished.
I think we can all agree Casey isn't the most flexible and "complete" coach in the history of the league. In fact I think he is lucky that he's come this far.
The league has definitely moved to a mobile athletic rim runner type of center vs the slow prodding big man. But I also think fans of Jonas are upset because in his first year or two, he was exactly what the league requires now.
It's unfortunate Jonas hasn't panned out, but the blame can be shared around.
