I understand it's a "star's league," but he's not a star. I'd rather spread the money out around average players and have a workman-like ethic. We aren't contending at the moment.

Also, I kind of want Boston to get him just so I can read the rants on the heat board now and the celtics board later.

Waiters + James Johnson this off season would be more than satisfactory. Forget about the porpoises. Please don't sign Rudy Gay. Pretty please.

The Heat have no choice, but to rely on 2nd/3rd option guys like Hayward or Dion to be their savior after not committing to rebuilding. Whether you "spread the money around" or go after GH/Dion, the Heat are still at best maybe winning the East(and that's assuming Bron takes a huge decline).

I think we're agreeing here, but I don't think it's an irrevocable decision to not rebuild. We have young players that have potential. I am not comfortable paying Gordon Hayward $30M. I would rather spread the money between Waiters, James Johnson, and another third-tier player than give $30M to a 2nd tier player and pretend he is like LeBron or Curry.

I mean, if we want to get "really real," Golden State has Durant+Curry+Draymond+Thompson+more. We're going at that with Hayward? It didn't work for the Jazz.

He did, I said it earlier. Players talk. One person tells another and it's off like rapid fire. And then off to their friends.

He may be a dick, but if that's what he means, then he's right. 35 yo Wade is better than 27 yo Hayward in the 4th quarter and a playoff game on the line. Is there really any question? That doesn't mean we should pay Wade $30M though, but Hayward isn't worth it either.

I'd definitely rather have him that not. GH is a legitimate all star, especially in the East, to pair with another borderline all star in Whiteside. Only way we are attracting a third star is with two in the bank

Wade is an egomaniac who chose less money (take Taxes into consideration) because he wanted a certain status of highest paid player on a roster.
Gabrielle Union is a gold digger who has his balls in her clutch purse.

Wade's ex is the real victim. He used his media power to destroy that woman's life!

But he wasn't trying to recruit anyone the lastb2 offseasons. He'd just be on vacation chilling.

Return to Miami Heat
