Being open to trade Love for PG or Butler is not the same as wanting to dump Love or swap him for Melo

I wonder if Melo would waive his NTC for Miami IF they end up without Hayward. Sure they won't be a championship team but with this weakened East they can make a couple of nice seasons with 50 wins.

I could see a Melo for Winslow and McRoberts kind of trade, given they have an insane amount of cap space after the Bosh affair.

For Melo could be the opportunity to redeem himself in a big market, in one of the nicest locations and getting more money because of the taxes. Surrounded by an elite defender and an elite PG he could be back to when he was an efficient scorer, improving his currently damaged status.

For Miami the chance to become a Top 4 team in the East. They don't own next year's pick and the roster is built to win, 2 years of Melo alongside Dragic and Whiteside don't really harm them at all.

For us, besides an insane amount of cap space ready to absorb contracts and picks you get Justise Winslow, who is already an elite defender on a rookie salary scale the next 2 years and with a small caphold in 2019 summer, when we should be ready to throw money at free agents.

According to a source, the Knicks have told some agents their free-agent plans are being held up in some respects as they weigh whether to trade Anthony, possibly to the Rockets.

id do winslow and Mcbob in a heart beat... if mcbob could stay healthy hes a REALLY nice piece and winslow well hes young
