Not that Detroit could have offered anything better. Utah could absorb his contract outright with their remaining 2016/17 cap space. No incoming salary for Minnesota is big.

Lowry or Teague to Minny? Hill to Spurs?

Sounds like Teague to Minnesota. My guess is Lowry back to Toronto and Hill back to San Antonio. The Spurs need to do something at point guard and George will be the best option left unless they get in on Lowry. Toronto would be better off with Hill though, so I would rather that not happen.

And then Holiday back to New Orleans, which would be the end of quality free agent point guards on the market. Not that anybody else would need one afterwards though.

Why?

Cause he took less than the Max?

Or

Cause he left an owner that didnt want to spend big money to retain a core of Ibaka, KD, Harden & Westbrook?

Cause he's destroying the laboral conditions the players have achieved with the new CBA. He's on the owners side and is a shame for the rest of the NBA.

WTF? Cause he took less than the Max?

When Dirk took less he was praised!

When Tim Duncan took less he was praised!

When KD does it people gotta hate it cause it fits the narrative.

It doesn't matter that all those guys made up for taking less in other ways!

Lost in all the KD hate is Clay Bennett!

Scumbag owner who bought the Seattle SuperSonics...moved them under shady as **** circumstances and then failed to keep what could have been a dynasty together because he didn't wanna pay the tax!

Blame Bennett & Presti for not getting a real coach in there too that would have helped them move away from the "your turn, my turn" iso **** that weighed Westbrook & KD down during the regular season

Man you got your own world in your mind and I can't argue against that. I can't see how a healthy mind can compare KD with old as f Duncan and Dirk. And he's not leaving money on the table because his team would be able to sign more players, he's taking that huge paycut to allow the owner to pay the luxury tax.

It's against the spirit of the CBA and hurts an honestly competition.

how about Bron and Bosh taking less to join a team they never played for before in a blatant attempt to stack the deck? That is what started this whole thing in motion to begin with.

I am glad KD left the Not Sonics and joined the Warriors if for nothing else than the fun in seeing LeBron get his ass cockblocked.

If him taking less money helps keep Bron from anymore rings...

also

Taking less money is not to help the owner pay less it was so they would be able to keep their MLE and sign yet one more player to add to their great bench.

I know all the BronStans want to spin it differently but at least I don't have to read their jealous rants (unless someone like Pharaoh goes and quotes them) since I have most of em on ignore now.

Just wait until Lebron stacks an even more super team next summer. I have a feeling Lebron is going to make sure he has the fire power to get another ring or two even if that means leaving Cleveland.

He will try... no doubt in that.

I do find it funny that unlike what Durant just did... Bron has now done a 180 from in making sure him and all his pals get paid big. Cleveland is now the highest payroll and well into taxland thanks to Bron's meddling so I find this whole situation rather comical. He will probably bail on em while leaving the Cavs hanging high and dry... again.

Lol yep. Lebron literally handcuffed the Cavs with no real young talent left and most "stars" in their primes now.

If Lebron leaves, they're so done. They'll basically have to beg other teams to take Kyrie and Love off of them cuz both of them aren't leaders and if they're your best players, you're going to be lottery bound.

Can anyone explain to me what is in it for Denver to agree to this proposed 3 team deal? My understanding is Millsap already agreed to a 3 year deal with Denver. Now They are giving up Damien Stone for the right to sign him? They weren't bringing back Gallinari anyway. Is Millsap getting more money than Denver could otherwise offer? Otherwise it makes no sense because the Nuggets get nothing but the guy they already had an agreement with.

honestly i hope Melo goes to Cavs.

Bron did start this stack thing and the owners gave them the ability to do it with the agreed upon CBA. One thing i do like about this "New" Nba is that i think we'll start seeing some intense a* rivalries .

Sigh.

The Warriors team looks like they're pretty committed to staying together. Every player is taking less/shorter deals to ensure the others can stay.

I'm really gonna miss interesting competitive balance in my NBA. I felt my interest really flagging last year and it's only going to get worse from here on out it appears.

To the bold:

Are you aware that KD taking LESS means ownership is willing to offer MORE for Iguodala?

That results in MORE tax paid by owbership!

If KD takes his absolute MAX then the GSW don't offer what they did to Iggy, who likely leaves for significantly more money.

Instead, KD takes less, Iggy gets more, owner pays more luxury tax, team dominates again, likely wins again...repeat

KD taking less in his prime to me is more impressive than Duncan & Dirk taking less much later in their careers:

1 - he has no "true" loyalty to the Warriors given he's only played 1 year there - Dirk & Timmy were lifers with their franchises

2 - given his experience with ownership in OKC KD taking less shows enormous faith in the Warriors ownership not to be "cheap" with Iggy

3 - this shows that KD didn't simply leave OKC for a ring - he left for a whole lot of reasons including the ring.

Some people wanna see his decision in black & white - ring v no ring - when the truth is there were a whole load of factors involved beyond that.

Given our history In SVG We Trust I don't expect a reply...other than your usual "I can't handle this"

From what I've read around here:

Millsap gets no benefit from a S&T

I read a post from one Denver poster that said the reason for doing the S&T is to do Gallinari a solid...maybe LAC couldn't afford to give him that contract?

I'm not well versed on S&T rules given they change depending on if a team is under the cap, over the cap but under the tax, over the tax etc

The post I read went on to explain that Denver are doing it to maintain their rep with "stars" - apparently they have a good rep which is how they got a meeting with Wade last off-season and a meeting with...some other free agent I'm forgetting

Long story short: apparently Denver are doing Gallinari a solid

Man, I hope next summer LeBron, George and Westbrook join the Warriors for the minimum contract.

That's pretty impressive!

That's show the desire to win!

The NBA would be really funny!!

I don't know why max contracts and cap exists!!

I don't care if a guy is hurting his profession mates!

As expected you've got nothing to add or come back with so you resort to this rubbish.
