cause not everyone has the same mentality.

some kids in school need to be told to read a chapter, some kids read ahead.

And Lowry was about JVs age when he hired his own trainer, JV is still only 25 remember.

Who cares, this is his free time. I don't care. What he does in his free time shouldn't be of any business to us.

Players who are committed to the game and to get better take time to work on their game the off season ..

Then why defend JV if he has that type of mentality ... I don't want player we have to baby site and tell when to work on his game, when to work on his body .. I prefer player who are self motivated and recognize what they need to work on to be the best they can .

We want to get rid of Jonas, and we are willing to add Corey Joseph.

I think we can make something work if we're going down t he route to compete. LMA might not be the best fit, but he'd definitely be welcomed in our sort of offense. He has 2 years left after his deal, and is completely aligned with our window.

This is very silly, you complain about JV's defense? Prepare for worse.
Do you complain bout the new NBA? Now you will have your 4 AND your 5 taking a LOT of midrange shots.
Let alone your best player.

The crazies advocate getting rid of Jonas because he cannot defend the 3pt line, well...
Ibaka got torched by bigs all the same! and he is much more mobile than LMA!

I would take a JV for Simmons from SA but otherwise, no thank you.

A picture of demar boxing, and a picture of JV holding a fish does not mean that either are not doing the other.

I dont think I am really defending anyone, merely making a counterpoint that it may not be about babysitting or anything else. Dude just might not know any better. period.

He might think everything he is doing is correct, it comes down to management/team to make sure they point out errors in their ways.

Remember what casey said in the season ending presser? He said he sat demar down and told him to work on threes and that him taking less shots might mean that is whats best for the team.

Based on your own logic, that makes Demar a player that is needing to be babysat and should not be on the team. He should obviously know by now after 8 years that he needs a three point shot and needs to defend and needs to not take all the usage and shots. Does that make him an unmotivated players with the personal recognition?

Yes, I get that. These guys have lives too though, they aren't just creatures made for our amusement. A lot of them don't spend a ton of time with their families throughout the season.

I'm sure every player works on their game in the off-season, some more than others, but when improving your game can be the difference of millions of dollars per year, I'm sure everyone does some sort of work. Not everyone posts it on instagram or twitter though

We are not hearing about and we are not seeing the result on the court ...

Doesnt mean it isnt happening because there isnt instagram pics of it.

And we have come back around full circle, I bet it is happening, just not correctly. And I am not in disagreement that every NBA player can easily hire a nutritionist to help with their eating habits and trainers to help with other things, and for all we know perhaps he has. But if the results arent there, then management needs to step in and see what is being done and work to straighten it out.

That is not blaming the org. and it is not blaming the player. It is a rational conclusion based on the limited information available.

Dude acting as if working out takes all day. You're telling me Lebron doesn't have a life because he was in the gym right after the season was over ? Come on man. The reason I ask is because the guy is out of shape and should be in the gym working to prove everybody wrong. I'm not going to ask what norm or delon are doing because those guys aren't the ones that need to get their bodies right for the upcoming season.

I can't believe people are still blaming the fact that JV is out of shape on the Raptors. Sure, the Raptors told him to get bigger - That doesn't mean put on dead weight. That's on JV.

The guy shows up every season looking the same. I'm starting wonder if he does the same thing brags did which was nothing other photoshop pics to make himself look buff in the offseason. How are you going to blame the raptors for that. Even crippled carroll is already working out.

The organisation should have been monitoring him. He's their asset.
