Longer this drags on the more likely it's Utah.

Agreed.

If Hayward doesn't go to Boston, Chris Haynes can never go to Boston again lol.

At least you're admitting you have a problem. It's the first step to recovery.

Tank? Hell of a plan when we don't have a draft pick

Top 7 protected

Then unprotected the following year if that's the case. If we're bad enough for a top 7 pick, then we'll be bad enough the following year and be about the same range and lose the pick, unless we drafted a LeBron type of monster.

That or finally draft a future All Star(i.e. Wade) to build around.

Yeah I think he goes back to utah. No way he says C's and expects people to believe his story of "I still didn't decide when it leaked", He's going to get chit on all sorts.

read between the lines. The news got leaked prematurely and as a result, Hayward didn't get to announce his intentions (tell Utah he was leaving etc) himself. so obvious, lets move to Plan b aka Luol Deng v2 aka Rudy Gay

He will make more money in Miami than in Utah or Boston.

Utah has 8% raises and a 5th year. Miami & Boston can only offer 5% raises. It doesn't sound like much, but here's how it looks:

$172,260,000 (Utah - with bird rights)

$29,700,000 Y1
$32,076,000 Y2
$34,452,000 Y3
$36,828,000 Y4
$39,204,000 Y5

Miami or Boston

$127,710,000

$29,700,000 Y1
$31,185,000 Y2
$32,670,000 Y3
$34,155,000 Y4

For similar contracts, Miami has the advantage because of taxes:

You can clearly see, though, that in SLC, he makes more.

i think were being too hard on gordy. the decisions not really all that easy so maybe he really is weighing all options. its the twitterverse and people jumping in and reporting false news just to get a "scoop" that you should be directing your ire towards not gordon.

not buying this at all, hayward will announce celtics around 5-7pm my guess

Out of everything there "re-evaluate" stands out the most to me. If no decision was made then what is there to "re-evaluate"

There is no point in even attempting to try and damage control this situation. The damage is already done. If he still goes with Boston, people will think he and his group was lying which is a bad look for 'em. I understand wanting to be the one to tell the world of your own decision, but if Boston was his pick he should've just rolled with the leak instead of playing around like this. If he's telling the truth, that reporter probably gonna get fired lol.

If Gordon signs a three years contract with Miami on his next contract he will have more than 10 years as a player and his new contract (with full bird rights in Miami) will be very similar to a supermax (without federal incometax and more playoff games).
