There obviously won't be any huge jumps, but is he capable of 25ppg on 61% TS% with 4 rebounds/4 assists? He did 23 on 60% TS, but even with a slight boost in production he becomes a really good player.

Wait - did I miss something? Consensus on Beal?

I think he is healthy going into the off-season, so I think there will definitely be progress next season.

But I don't think we have ever had consensus on Beal.

I mean honestly we didn't gt worse, we actually did make some upgrades. Meeks and tim are better than burke jennings or Thornton, Scott is better than Nicholson. Tomas and Mac should improve, Kelley should improve, our core is back, if we don't move mahinmi we can hope he stays healthy. We are at least a little better than last year?

I think Beal is oddly underrated here. Like I said, a boost from 23ppg to 25-26ppg while maintaining his efficiency and 1 or so more assists and rebounds and he becomes one of the better guards in the league. His age suggests he's not in his prime yet.

Not just his age but his trend line. Momentum is a powerful thing.

That is the positive way of looking at it. I guess there are a couple of ways to look at it...

1) Did we get better from last year
2) Did we improve enough to jump anyone who was above us last year
3) Did anyone jump us that was below us last year
4) Did we move the needle toward a championship

We actually played better BEFORE getting Bogs/Jenning if you guys can remember January/February. We even played better before getting Mahimi back into the mix I believe.

It seemed as if the All-Star break and then adding those pieces did something to us because we weren't the same after that.

I think Boston just took the jump above everyone in the east.

Having Howard/MKG as part of their core makes it really hard to run anything resembling a modern offense IMO. But they've got a good coach and should be good defensively, so I'd expect them to compete for the 7th/8th seed.

And I guess you wouldn't want Carter-Williams, Kidd-GilChrist and Howard on the floor at the same time :)

Well, unless they're playing the Wizards lol.
