there was one whale available and he went to play for his college coach...

So that's all it takes to beat Riley's pitch, now. "Come play for me I used to coach you." Sad.

Yea, that's all that happened, disregard any possible relationship they might have had.

Am i missing something? I feel like it's not a big deal that they lost durant to a 73-win team and Hayward to the 1st seed in the east.

Hey everyone....lets sign NO ONE this off-season because the Heat MIGHT have a POSSIBILITY of MAYBE signing the Banana Boat crew in 2018!

Hopefully wizards don't match so Nets make the playoffs and Boston gets crappy pick.

You're looking for monsters under the bed when there aren't any...

• Aldridge's choice was HEAT Mid Level Exception vs. 4 yrs, $84 mil from the Spurs
• Durant had the opportunity to join the Warriors
• Hayward could either stay in Utah or join his old college coach in Boston off an ECF appearance

...Riley had no business being in the room with either of them, yet still got meetings with all three. LeBron, Wade and Bosh had nothing to do with them choosing other situations.

This.

If players didnt want to sign here, why the heck would they waste their time on meeting with us?

I was talking about the Nets. Either way One top 10 pick or two? What do you prefer?

I guess signing the Dion Waiters of the league in back to back off seasons is the new norm for a Pat Riley off season.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Doesn't really matter. Next year's class is top heavy, outside of top-5, it's pretty weak

As a Celtics fan...You guys have the women, weather , nightlife, tax incentive etc.. let us have the one white boy from Utah who doesn't seem to care about those things.

I'd take this lineup if Banana Boat wants to play together they have to realize we made our money now we want rings.

Dragic-SG, Wade-SG, JR-SG
Lebron-PF, Melo-PF
Whiteside-C, BAM-C
JJ-SF, Winslow-SF
CP3-PG, pick up another PG.

This line could do damage for 3-5 years easily. It will also attract other stars to play with them for 3-5 years and just keep building off that model.

Bottom line, Miami needs franchise caliber player to entice whales to come play with them. Prime Wade was that guy. Currently, we don't have one, but I'm holding out on Bam. I think he has that type of potential.
