This is such a relief. I still think Kanter gets moved. Presti is like crocodile Dundee. He just holds out his hand and tells other Gms what will happen. It takes a little while but eventually they lay down and accept it.

Edit: that sounded really bad.Fyi, Crocodile Dundee is not that kind of movie.

Sounds like it was either Pat or Gay according to Royce. Glad we got the chronically underrated guy instead of the continually overrated guy.

Wow, Patterson is an awesome fit, great contract, stretch 4 and was a net positive player on both sides of the floor last season. Can't wait now!

I love that he's only 28.

I don't think I could of even dreamed of such a great offseason, thought we were doomed for another mediocre year with no changes.

Find a decent backup PG and we have the offseason from heaven.

The floor spacing for the starting unit now with 2Pat standing in the corner opposite of Roberson ....

Not to be a hater, I love Daily Thunder and appreciate Royce's work but his tweets often sound like he's just talking out his ass. Like if some team with room in rebuilding mode offered him 17 million a year we're matching that? GTFO.

Defense should be legit too. Bench still trash, need huestis to break out and smart. That would give us 2 more bench defenders than we had last year.

It seems to me market value for robes should be 6-8 million based off what other guys are getting now. Sure he'll get more, but is he even better than Patterson overall?

Debatable but whatever, the point is there is a number we aren't going to for Andre Roberson and I would hope Royce would acknowledge that.

I don't think you should have to qualify every tweet with 'unless some team does something outrageous' it obviously signifies that the intention is to match if robes gets a significant offer.

I don't think so. Most people will read a reporter with sources in the organization writing "any offer" as ANY offer.

The bench will be perfectly fine with a capable PG... Capable PG, Abrines and Kanter is plenty of fire power

Sergio or Rondo would be capable back up point guards for this team, but Evans offers more positional versatility and will likely be available for the veterans minimum. Health would of course be a major concern for him.

I hope Presti goes hard for Smart. Rondo is cancer.

Yeah, but what does it take to get Smart? Don't want to lose McDermott or Abrines. Grant is expendable.

Who is capable PG and can they defend? Firepower doesn't mean anything if they get ran off the floor.

Boston can't take on salary. So probably the Chicago pick, unless another team is willing to give up a first.
