Apparently Hayward wasn't impressed with Miami after he took a trip to the local Seaquarium:

congrats

He is legit good, i don't know how well he would have fit in Mia's locker room, but on the court he would have been great.

a lot of us are quite ok with bringing back last years crew and seeing if the lighting is still in the bottle....

Next off-season you have a big old fire sale around draft time. We are talking the trading of Hassan, Dragic, TJ, Waiters, Elington, JJ, JRich, and Weed. How many firsts could that haul? IMO 6-7

All i know is we better find someone to come in as insurance for Winslow at SF. I'm not going to stand for another year of having McGruder and J Rich having to guard players 6'8 and up at the SF spot.

If we can't get Rudy Gay for a reasonable deal like 3/36 we should take a fly on Shabazz Muhammed since he is a UFA after resigning both Dion & JJ of course.

3/36 is not a reasonable deal

They'll have Horford earning $29m
Hayward earning $32m
They'll need to extend Thomas for like $35m

There goes like 80%+ of your cap. Yes they'll have 3x lotto picks on rookie scale deals, but they're gonna lose some talent.

That's 93% by my math. oof

First of all, IT won't get a max. No way. Literally every team has a good veteran PG, or young prospect. And Eric Bledsoe is on the trade market. Plus half of NBA hovering around Tax line

They will also restructure Horford's deal after 2019.

They are fine

Isaiah wont get the max? Youre not being serious are you lol the guy was easily a candidate for MVP. Hes getting a max deal fron someone and boston will match the offer

We'll see what the Celtics do with IT....probably better off letting him leave next summer...Boston was clearly more equipped to beat the Cavs without him and his defense.

IT has his warts for sure. I am curious to see what he'll look like with another legit scorer to take some pressure off. I doubt you can max horford, IT, Hayward and win in this current NBA but I'm down to try?

you do that, & good luck habibi!

Bobby Marks from ESPN states:

With Gordon Hayward now agreeing to a four-year $127M max contract, Celtics management now has a series of transactions to do in order to create cap space. The Celtics would have to pull the qualifying offer on
Kelly Olynyk,
renounce free agents Jonas Jerebko,
James Young,
Gerald Green
and waive the contracts of Jordan Mickey
and Demetrius Jackson (or trade).
The Celtics would be left with $27.6M in room and likely need to move the contract of
Jae Crowder, Terry Rozier or Marcus Smart.
Trading Rozier would have the Celtics short $1M of a max salary a lot.

I don't cite ESPN when they discuss rumors, but they're pretty accurate with technical stuff like this. That's a good bit of depth to give up.

after the injury Rudy doesn't have much leverage. For the right super cheap price i'd take him though. He prob wants our world class training staff to get his achilles right.
