I found this to be interesting. While Scottie seems to have some position with the Bulls, I have a hard time envisioning him just straight up lying.

The problem with the Bulls is that they have a habit of leaking negative stories about ex-players, staff or coaches to the media. This isn't the first time they've done, and it likely won't be the last. It's the type of sh** that would happen decades ago in the old school era when people would read the news on newspaper, but it's a total different media game now and dirty stories can explode like wild fire, and eventually the bullsh*tter gets caught out, in this case Gar and Paxson.

The thing is, Jimmy could very well have had leadership issues, every single player or human being has bloody faults. But this on cue negativity press once a former Bulls employee leaves the franchise is getting old.
Why so serious?

It's clock work at this point. They get rid of someone that won't get in complete line, then all of a sudden stuff comes out about said person.

Like you said, it's getting old, but it never ceases to amaze me now when it happens.

Clearly Thibs overplayed him and this could have been easily avoided! Damnit Thibs! It's only summer league!

Scottie having a job with the Bulls while being a reoccurring panelist on "The Jump" is a complete conflict of interest.

That's the NBA. It's rife with all sorts of weird ethical issues.

Hinkie was fired by owners of OTHER franchises. Basically, that's what happened. His friend didn't necessarily want to fire him. Philly's owner that is.

Worse for Minnesota? Potentially. Better for Bulls? Not at all.

Whose to say the Bulls even would've drafted Patton with the 16th pick?

Sucks for Wolves fans, but Patton likely wouldn't have gotten a heap of burn this season anyway with Dieng and Aldrich at C, as well as KAT and Gibson who will play a decent amount at C.

Aldrich played less than 9 minutes per game last season in his 62 games, so I don't think he's standing in anyone's way.

Plus, I read that Thibs was looking to dump his salary to free up cap space.

He really didn't say anything new though. I mean, saying that Jimmy was disrespectful tords Fred and the coaching staff is like saying Noah can't make layups anymore. It just is further confirmation on what is believed to be true

Why does the trade seem less horrible because Patton is injured? What am I missing here?

If we kept the 16 pick, we don't know whether he would have been the Bulls selection.
Why so serious?
