It's whatever, I like Hayward, but issue remains the same for the Celtics and that's their bigs, in which they got even weaker. I still don't believe that they compete with the Cavs.

I can imagine them doing a trade for DeAndre Jordan

That would make a lot of sense and also make them real contenders.

They have the assets to do it, I can imagine Clippers being willing to trade him (now they lost Paul and JJ). They are out of the 'pretending'

Tatum + BKN or LA/SAC pick would be enough imo.

Just re-signed Griffin and traded for Gallinari though.

Maybe they can target Valanciunas, supposedly Raps are shopping him.

Guys I'd also consider better, but it's close:

Beal
Middleton
Marc Gasol

and Simmons and Fultz will surpass him in short order. I'm tempted to just count them because I know they'll be better, but I won't even do it yet.

And even if you wanna disagree with one of my above names, you can, but if you disagree you'd have to at least acknowledge most of them are better and for the ones you don't consider better it's very very close. If you can't do that, I question how much you watch the NBA.

Wiggins and Booker over Hayward, Middleton, and Beal is a shamefully awful take. Neither of those two is a top 50 player right now.
jonjames is a signature bet welcher.

Mitchell did look very promising, also Exum looked a lot better with his shooting. Anyway, it's disappointing losing a player like Hayward with an up and coming Utah team. Agents for these players could be making short cited, cut throat decisions for their players at the demise of loyal fan bases. It's difficult when you see the success Durant just had winning a ring, whether deserved or not.

WIth Jamal Crawford about to be bought out, should we go after him? JJ Redick could help us with that.
Fultz/Crawford/TJ
Redick/TLC/Bayless
Covington/Furkan
Simmons/Saric/Johnson
Embiid/Holmes/Okafor
That could be the best bench in the east to go along with a great starting lineup. Could 1 year 14 million do it?

If we can get someone to take Bayless it could be an idea. Otherwise we need that money for Covington.

FWIW.. Looks like Gobert (if they opt for rebuild) and DeAndre(LAC looking at McGee) are available for trade.

I doubt Rudy will be available. We will try to retool around him and try to compete. The thing with a player like Rudy is... he pretty much by himself guarantees you are a top 5 defense. From then on, the question is how good of an offensive team we can assemble around him. Right now I think we probably will be a bottom 5 offense in the league, but Quin has done some magic with little before so ... who knows...

I can't see Utah gutting there team.

Rudy Robert just turned 25.Rodney Hood is 24, Favors 25,Exum will be 22. They just added Donovan Mitchell who could be the steal of the draft and his just 20. Rubio is 26

Obviously they may need to do some shuffling, but they still have a pretty young team with some decent pieces. 1 sneaky good trade and Mitchell becoming a hit in the draft and they could re-tool rather quickly.

Would you guys do Crowder and BOS 18 for Saric
This would give you guys a cheaper option to replace Covington if you don't want to pay him
Bet with Stillwater Celtics will finish 6th or higher in ECF Standings Regular Season(17-18). [WON]

If you ask me. I'd give up Gobert if you can get yourself a shot for a star perimeter player (top 5?) then just sign a cheap big like Dedmon or McGee. You'll be surprise how the league values big though.

Ironically, Celtics seems like a good trade partner for Gobert :)

Rudy is easily a Top 20 Player in this league and only 25 years old. You have to make a huge offer to get him.
