If Anthony Davis becomes available they'd be far and away the favorites to land him.

I'm not sold on Hayward long term, their 1st option just got exposed in the playoffs, and they still lack a proper big. Of course they have great potential, nobody's denying that fact and it's looking really good for them, but there's a whole lot of work yet to be done before actually being able to contend.
Once again you're looking at their present team..They have the ability in the future to get those pieces they need through trades or high picks or both.
They are in as good a position as anyone not named GS in the league
