if the goal is getting these guys on 1 year deals, and i think it is, then they are not going ot sign right away, at the least they want to bring an offer back to us as leverage.

There isn't a reason in the world for either of these guys to accept a 1 year deal.

it's called leverage. until either of them bring back a multi year deal to miami. as of right now, the market is what they will get and we have yet to hear either of them getting multi year deals. we know LA is looking to offer a 1 year deal. no reason we should offer more than that unless we need to.

They are not restricted free agents... You bleep around with a low offer they may just take that next offer and never contact you back. It’s all about egos, Pat of all people should know that.

Also pre Wade we where basically the Hawks, a consistent team that would make the playoffs but was never a contender. Granted we tried but injures and health made us basically the Hawks.

True. Hopefully Winslow's taken his game to the next level and could finally take on some of the offensive load as well?

Retain JJ and Mion, acquire Sardinasova and Mo Speights

No to speights. I don't want to see that thing on his head everynight.

Since the nets have cap space they can help the Jazz with compensation to make more cap space for JJ.

Their is a real possibly we lose not only JJ but Waiters too and with tanking competition in the East we could end up giving the Suns a lottery pick for the the first draft owned in the Dragic trade. That would be a savage season. People would get fired

Next draft, maybe we could do something like Hassan for Marquess Chris+fillers for the draft picks we owe the Suns. We need to spruce up our roster for 2019 and 2020 free agency.

How do we finally get a legit 7 ft center who can get you 18 and 14 and a few blocks a game and you guys just want to trade him? To me it's baffling, maybe I'm the only one who felt pure frustration of opposing centers literally rebounding the ball over Joel, Haslem and co's heads because they were all either undersized or old. Or guys like Vucievic licking their chops at another 20/20 game against the Heat. :noway:

Here's an idea we keep both Bam and Whiteside, potentially have the best center/backup duo in the league OR hope Bam continues to improve his jumper and now you have Kemp 2.0 with 3pt range.

You're not the only one.

Whiteside's great but his skill-set might become redundant with Adebayo on the roster. I'd rather have a PG and SF than a PG and SG. Don't forget that Adebayo would also be cheaper to keep. As I'm typing I just remembered we'll have Hassan's bird rights soon so...

Whiteside is a top 5 NBA Center. Bam is some 6'9 guy we just drafted at #14. Tap the brakes.

No need or point in going crazy. We have good pieces in place on good deals, sometimes you need to just stay the course.

We can't out-tank the miserables of the east this year, they're just too bad and we're just too talented, plus our pick is only top 7 protected.

Play hard, develop our young promising guys. Get rid of the Suns pick we owe. WE might actually surprise some fools in the playoffs.

Enjoy a good young team and keep looking for opportunities to get a star.

Also, keep level headed. Don't overpay for Mion. (or JJ)

Numbers don't lie, Dion improved but he wasn't that great. If he's going for the money only, that's fine and goodluck to him.
