Lakers are weak as hell...great for that pick.
Waived Young, dumped D'lo, missed on Hill, Waiters. Most importantly on PG. Free agents aren't taking them seriously with their 1-year offers.

I know nothing about college players, but from what I read I was rooting for Bell to fall to us. Then when GSW bought him, just kinda confirmed evertyhign. But, yeah, Semi could very well make it worth it anyways.
Jonah Bolden went one pick before Semi as well and he was awfully impressive Monday showing some range and shot blocking as well
Agreed, but tougher for me to whine about when he was off the board. At least it wasn't to Presti. I swear he always nabbed a guy a slot or 2 ahead of us a few years in a row when we were in the 20s. Adams. Reggie Jackson. OK, maybe just those 2...

CHI: Dwight Powell
Salaries match up whichever 2 you use, so they can have their pick really. DAL has:
Matthews / Barnes / Dirk / Noel with 2 of AB/Marcus/Jae. That's a solid 6. Not much depth, but it's not like they're really rebuilding either and want to give Dirk a better shot for his last year(s).
Chicago or someone else gets Dwight Powell for a 2nd rounder.
We get DSJ and a lot of cap room.
ETA: Add in BOS18 to DAL if need be.
I like it but I think Cuban is in LOVE with DSJ. DSJ/Barnes/Noel is their new foundation and I don't think they'd bust it up for anything but something they'd consider a young foundational piece.
Yeah, that's the tough part. I was wondering if it'd be enough. I could add LAC pick as well, but you'd have to talk yourself into AB/Jae being young and buildable on from DAL end. Heck, maybe even the MEM pick too, but you'd have to really love DSJ/Dedmon to go that far. I just think you end up with a really nice balanced roster on our end if you do it.

He's a FA no need to give up Crowder and AB just give up Crowder for him.

Well as you said, he’s a free agent so if we gave up just Crowder for him, his salary would be like 5 mil (since we’re a few million in the hole with Hayward signing). Not going to happen. I don’t even know if Bradley & Crowder’s contract combined will be enough.

I do really like DSJ, but I don't think the Memphis pick would even do it for Dallas. Quality is much more important than quantity in their current situation.

Re: Summer Trade/(OffSeason) Thread 2017
I think the Sac pick and Memphis picks could be very important to franchise. 2 picks in 2018 is awesome in that it increases odds f great player. But right now we have a lot of youth leaking away and too many more and t will happen again. Spreading out elite picks over next 3-4 years is ridiculous good fortune for an emerging contender. I wouldn't be shocked to see Jaylen traded before Nets 18, Sac 19, Mem 21.

"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Depends on how good a sendoff Cuban wants to give Dirk. He's pretty sentimental about trying to keep a good team around him. Throw the max package of AB/Jae/BOS18/LAC/MEM picks - starts feeling a bit rich from BOS end, so could be something they consider. Ultimately, you're probably right.

Ugh - I don't like that Smart is the guy we're looking to move. I just know he's gonna kill us on whatever his new team is.

I would think Crowder makes more sense...considering the fact he was bull about Hayward to begin with.

Smart or Jae are the last of this team's physical toughness - AB is the one that should go.

In a perfect world yes. Danny loves Jae and AB. I think it's more likely he extends him which is a bad move. But what can you do?

I don't agree with the Crowder small ball view. He really wasn't that valuable last year. A good piece but not one that isn't expendable
Marcus Smart can and will guard 1-5. Personally, I would keep Smart over Bradley and Crowder but I can understand arguments why that may not be the best move.
The three of them are damned if you do keep them, damned if you don't.

The silver lining with a Jae trade is that I find him kind of annoying. Endless whining to the referees. Stupid hair.
But he's such a strong, physical guy and one of the best 3/D wings in the game.

I don't like shopping Smart either but Bradley is too good (so Fing underratd IMO one of the best guards in the NBA that doesn't score 20 a game) and we need to play Jae at PF for a bit...SMArt doesn't start and Rozier does some of the things he can do at the point. Smart is my favorite Celtic besides IT but unfortunately he's the sacrificial lamb along with Olynyk.
