Cody is a pretty good fit. Excellent PNR defender on one end and great roll man on the other. Tough. Not a great rebounder numbers wise but competes and throws his body around (not an accident Charlotte one of the very best defensive rebounding teams). No range but he can pass and set mean screens.

He's actually the best Zeller there is, easily. How many years does he have? Aren't we gonna make CHA better? Do we wanna help potential opponents? :D

Yeah, that does make Charlotte a lot more dangerous. Walker/AB/Crowder/Marvin/Dwight. Plus Lamb/Monk/MKG/Kaminsky off the bench. That's probably a 50 win team.

So maybe not!

I am not worried about Charlote after the trade, it makes them a 45 win team that is going to have a very small backcourt at all times.

I think we proved that a small backcourt at all times isn't really a big factor when it comes to RS wins in the East. Walker/AB is better defensively even than IT/AB.

Hate to say it since I've trashed the guy so much but the guy that makes a lot of sense is Julius Randle.

Idk who to send out for him or where, but he fits positionally, fits in team need, and fits in salary. Not easy to find.

Have some of our in the know folks said he's a difficult personality or no?

Damn. I wish Gordo just took a bit of a paycut to keep the band together.

Bradley needs to be the one to go.
1) we will probably need to let him walk next year anyway, should try to get at least a future pick for him.
2) we need Crowder to play the 4 if we don't get any other good bigs.

Honestly there are not enough minutes for everyone, Ideally JB gets at least 25 in his second season, Taytum gets 20, Hayward is going to get 36 between PF SF and SG there are a grand total of 144 minutes some of which will go to a full sized PF, if we play small ball half the time its 120 mins. Avery and Jae each played over 30 mins a game last year, smart played some point and rozier played some 2 guard but they each spent time the SG spot...One of JC, AV or Smart needs to go or there will be no PT for Taytum and Jaylen. If we do not plan to re-up AB or MS they make the most sense, if we do, then it has to be Jae. Either way we need to slash a few mill preferably enough to bring Yabs over this season.

Crowder ($6.7m) for Willey Cauley Stein ($3.7m, $4.6m club option in '18-'19)

Do Kings say no?

Don't forget ideally we don't want to make the kings better we may be getting their pick in 2 years

I hear you. Although I don't think Jae makes them any better (especially with WCS going out), just fits their positional need

Clipper fan here.

Take it FWIW, but I have a source who's been spot on about quite a few transactions with the Clippers. He said a Lou William for Avery Bradley offer was on the table and Boston was considering it, but not sure how serious it was. As of last night, I was told it was "on the verge". Don't know if any other pieces are involved, but maybe Clips remove protection on 2019 1st? Anyways, that's all I know at the moment.

That only clears 1.8 million, not enough

I would do Avery, D Jackson/Mickey to Philly for Okafor and Holmes, trims just enough money and fixes our up front holes a little Trade ID #6903195, get a free test drive of Okafor to see if with different coaching he and pan out and a nice backup big in Holmes.

Why can't Danny give Utah a late first rounder like our pick or the protected LA Clipper pick to do a sign and trade? That would save us from having to give JC away cheap. Recently Danny has been as good with 2nd rounders as he is with late firsts. Will we even have a roster spot for those picks?
