One just hopes there's a pretty hefty package available for him if he decides to leave. To lose him for nothing, devastating. Give us all your babies Boston.
A time machine would be nice.

Look, if the organisation is bad and you claim that you care about it, then it's your responsibility to at least voice your concerns and give them a chance to improve. You can't just sit back and watch them destroy themselves, otherwise you're a hypocrite.
I'm not even talking about basketball here, just Human Relationships 101.

If Giannis is not happy with how the organisation works, and he shouldn't be, Giannis should get more involved. He should let them know. He has a lot of power and he should stop playing the innocent "Me Greek, me no speak England" role.
What?
Giannis should do what all players do, focus on improving his game an think only about that.Just because Lebron does it now doesnt mean Giannis can or should, heck Lebron at his age had no power whatsoever at Cleveland hence he left and established himself with Heat.
Instead of blaming the incompetence of our organization to Giannis maybe we should tell our owners to wake up.
the owners don't give a **** about you and me obviously, but they would **** their pants if Giannis told them "hey next contract is one year with player option, any sign of **** and I'm out, get your **** together"
LED : you mean we can pocket 25 million each year instead of giving it to you ? Hmmmmmmmmm

I mean, he's not wrong, but I really don't care about what Woj has to say unless he's breaking news.

Exactly. This isn't a Woj scoop. It's an opinion. The same one expressed here countless times as soon as the new contract was signed. Some argue that a "national guy" calling out LED will mean they will now "get it". It won't make a lick of difference. In the meantime I'm not going to get worked up about something that may or may not happen in 2021.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I mean I'd imagine his opinion is based on deeper knowledge of the situation. It's possible what Supreme said is true and he's just salty about other stuff, but other than that I'm inclined to believe Woj ripping our front office totally unprompted might be more than nothing.

Why? What he's saying is perfectly fair. He's basing what he says on insider info and outside observations.
Don't shoot the messenger. Those in the national media shining a light on the dysfunction years before Giannis is a fa are doing us a favor. They didn't care about us and our organizational problems when Kohl was owner and we didn't have a player like Giannis. That enabled its persistence. Not like local media does their jobs.

Re: Woj on Russillo show rips our FO/Giannis at risk if no improvement
It's the reason so many were not happy that the contract didn't have a 5th year. Because we know this franchise and their inability to get it right. That desire for the 5th year was more about giving the franchise more time to get it right. I don't doubt that Giannis could be gone and I won't blame him. Hell, I'll probably follow him.
F*** Marc Davis, f*** Tim Donaghy and f*** David Stern as a staff, record label and as a mothaf**kin crew......and if you wanna be down with Stern then F*** YOU TOO!!! Stu Jackson f*** you too.....all you mothaf**kas F*** YOU TOO!!!!

I'm pretty sure Hayward was just the next domino to turn over onto Giannis. Even if he is 3-4 years out, the NBA loves generating its free agency stories. The usual suspects are off the table, minus Lebron, but that story is losing steam even. Woj isn't doing this to crap on us, he's just following a trend in popular media coverage. That has been the real problem the last decade in the NBA. Free agency is bigger than the season or playoffs.

Can we all just shut the **** up about Giannis "possibly leaving" at least until the 2020 offseason? We all know that ownership has botched the front office side of things and that the margin of error is thin, but don't gimme this "he's leaving, for sure" crap 4 years in advance. Giannis could be like Lebron or he could be like Dirk and spend his whole career with one team. None of you know anything about Giannis' intentions.

I cringe when I read the part where Woj says "WHEN he leaves". Woj, you don't know how the Bucks will look in 4 years nor do you know schit about Giannis or his intentions. He comes off as such a prick here

sdn40 wrote:Pretty much. When Giannis got here, he latched on to Milwaukee and the people because he had to. Can't even imagine coming from another country like he did. But alas, as he becomes more comfortable with America, and most importantly, as he gets other players in his ear, he will become more and more open to other options.
Two problems the NBA has to fix, but it may already be too late:
FA - Teams have to be compensated handsomely for losing superstars by no fault of their own
Draft - It's become barely a notch above the MLB draft - pathetic. Remember the good ole days ?
Without fixing these two things its going to be all about the next big FA and nothing else will matter
The NBA is imploding under the weight of it's own success - shocker
1 fix that would make the league so much better....hard cap with no loop holes.
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

With no evidence to the contrary, I fully believe Giannis is more Dirk than any other star in the league.
But I absolutely believe if our **** ownership group doesn't get their **** together we're going to give Giannis every reason to pack up and leave.

Maybe you can take your quality posts to his new teams board. Get sick of hearing takes from someone who doesn't seem to be a fan, and trolls the board.

First off, I didn't say that what he said wasn't fair. I don't care what Woj has to say because he has a track record spanning years of lame, sanctimonious opinions that I don't really respect. And the point about Giannis is obvious, so I'm not going to give him credit, especially when the greater context is that all teams with young stars are at risk if their organizations don't shape up (which shouldn't really come as a shock to anyone).
