Assuming Hayward signs there, Boston need to clear Crowder's salary, so not gonna take someone like Gorgui back.

Dieng/OKC 1st for Crowder/salary filler? It's probably the best we could do.

I wonder if it's possible to somehow make it a 3team trade since Boston's just looking to dump salary?

Minnesota Out:
Aldrich
OKC 1st
Minnesota In:
Jae Crowder

Boston Out:
Jae Crowder

3rd Team in:
Aldrich
OKC 1st

I'd love to add Crowder to our team now

KAT / Dieng / Patton
Gibson / Bjelica / Oliver
Butler / Crowder / ?Casspi?
Wiggins / ?Rush?
Teague / Jones

Ideally I'd still like to bring in another shooter and a 3rd PG but I don't know who would be willing to accept those roles

think 32 mill per year for Hayward is kind of absurd, he's good but not THAT good.

I take that deal for Patterson over ours for Gibson 10/10 times. Patterson is a solid defender that can shoot 3s.

Me too. Given Patterson's contract, it definitely seems like we overpaid for Gibson.

That Patterson contract smells a little Joe Smithy to me.

I would be happy if we could get Patterson and McLemore for that money. That would give leave us room to operate further. I wonder how much JaMychal Green is asking now

On that contract if we don't get Miles, than I'd prefer the likelyhood of Patterson+Miles. If we are able to land Miles though, than I'm happy we landed Taj. He isn't young and exciting but what he does for a team, especially a team that is coached like Thibs, he will do wonders. We need that toughness and grittiness on our team that I don't think people take into account.

Only way Taj deal doesn't look bad is if he has KG level effect on defense, where Wolves are basically elite defense when he's on the court

Since its not just Patterson

Mirotic, James Johnson, Jamaychal Green will probably end up getting paid less than Taj too and at least have the ability to space and give KAT some breathing room in the post offense

James Johnson isn't going to want to play for Thibs again, his experience in Chicago was a big negative. He's also likely just allowing the Heat to attempt to fry bigger fish before reupping with them. Mirotic, Patterson and Green are all floor spacers, but they don't bring the type of paint protection Taj has. They're all players that would be nice to have, but they wouldn't fill the role Taj is projected to. On or off the court.

Yeah, I don't want another bargain deal on paper (Aldrich) for player who doesn't fit and as fails to impact the game. I have some expectation for Taj Gibson, that he can use his quickness and 7'4" wingspan to protect our paint.

Okc with another decent value signing.

Their starting unit looks great. Presti his going to want that magic wand and fill their bench out of nothing..

He was my favorite choice during draft night. He is undersized, but he is tough, explosive, good shooter and can play within team concept.

Keep the faith Calinks. Be brave! Towns, Gibson, Butler, Wiggins and Teague will kick Denver's ass! Our starting top 5 is as good as anybody. We'll give GS all they want!!!

Keep the faith Calinks. You're a great fan.

Sadly, I think it's a foregone conclusion that Crowder is part of a S&T for Hayward.

Taj is a far better player than Patterson. I don't understand the love of a mediocre player
Patterson. I like the guy too but only off the bench in certain circumstances. Pattersonn is a mediocre player who has has two decent years as a fill in. Let's not get carried away.
