Dream Scenario for me now is send Rozier and Jackson in a sign and trade for Hayward. This clears enough roster space to absorb Haywards salary since it actually gets rid of a roster charge.

Then we can trade AB and actually bring back salary. So trade AB for Jamychal Green.

Utah's announce team is saying Woj is reporting a sign and trade with Crowder for Hayward? Why would Danny give up Crowder for free? Utah's announcers also stretching the truth about the Crowder/Hayward situation, one of them said Boston was chanting Haywards name.....

We are loaded at the 3 spot, with Hayward, Crowder, Brown, Tatum, and potentially Abdel Nader. We are thin at the guard positions, with only Thomas, Bradley, Smart, and Rozier. Just based on roster balance, Crowder has to go.

Marcus Smart can and will guard 1-5. Personally, I would keep Smart over Bradley and Crowder but I can understand arguments why that may not be the best move.

The three of them are damned if you do keep them, damned if you don't.

I just like Marcus Smart's intensity. He elevates the team. I agree with u that crowder at the 4 wasn't as good as he should have been.

I don't think Danny would just throw in Crowder for free, he would probably want something back.

I'd be fine with him trading Crowder but he has to get some value, needing to cut salary shouldn't demolish his value.

Thanks. Interesting stuff. Can't wait to see how Ainge re-jiggers this roster.

Embarrassment: Until I saw the recent WT, I hadn't focused on the fact that S&Ting Hayward gives the Jazz a huge trade exception.

I can't believe Stevens couldn't sell Hayward on taking a little less than the max so the team didn't have to be gutted. I don't see why everyone can't win.

He is already giving up much money for coming here. This is something we need to do and that´s all

The only reason Smart is being shopped over Rozier is because Rozier has 2 years left making low money and the team doesn't want to deal with 3 free agencies next summer.

IT and Bradley alone are going to cost them alot, add Smart and that's not going to work.

I'd keep Crowder as he is signed longterm, offer them either Smart or Bradley.

Smart's ability to post up as a guard is a huge plus for this team. Bradley's microwave offense is a huge thing, eventhough he goes dry often, but his on ball defense is second to none.

If I had to pick one to stay then Marcus Smart. He's restricted next year, Bradley isn't.

What about 3-way S&T ?

Celtics gets Hayward,
Pacers gets Olynyk,
Jazz gets Rozier + Pacers 2nd Pick + Pacers's guys +

Hayward (S&T) = Crowder, Mickey, Jackson (Jerebko S&T)?

first, just giving up rozier isn't enough.

second, why should we give up rozier for nothing? we can probably get at least a 2nd rounder for him from someone, he's a decent player.

What do you think guys, would Marc Gasol be effective and give us a better window?
He has 3 years left and is 32 years old.
Maybe his positive effect would last longer since his game is not really based on athleticism and he hasn't got as much NBA mileage under his legs as most his age.

Why Rozier? I would prefer hold Bradley/Smart/Crowder to sign Hayward. Each of them have great trade value, and I don't want to send them as gift.

ok, well if we can just lose rozier and djax then that's a win-win, definitely.

agreed about not wanting to lose smart/bradley/crowder if at all possible.
